Green gas installation BECH starts production

Back

Water Board Vallei and Veluwe and Jan Bakker initiated the green gas production plant BECH. AFS Energy has facilitated and mediated the Gas Purchase Agreement with Essent that sealed the purchase for the upcoming years. To celebrate this, Bert van Vreeswijk and Jan Bakker, shareholders of BECH, will open the Amsterdam exchange.

Green gas as a sustainable alternative
Green gas is produced from the fermentation of waste products as manure. This procedure reduces manure surplus and offers a sustainable alternative to natural gas. The Water Board Vallei and Veluwe, and Jan Bakker have jointly initiated and set up the green gas production plant BECH in Harderwijk. AFS Energy had a mediation role that allowed the closing of the Gas Purchase Agreement with Essent. All parties involved contribute to the energy transition in the Netherlands.
