The power of 10

2014-2024 | 10 years since Euronext's IPO

A transformational journey building the leading market infrastructure in Europe
Since the 2014 IPO, Euronext's ability to reinvent itself has been pivotal to our success and we have significantly accelerated our growth journey through organic growth, successful M&A activity and our ambitious diversification strategy. Over the past decade, we've evolved into the leading listing venue, facilitating capital raising for the real economy, and become the leading trading venue, managing 25% of European equities trading through our green data centre.

From its inception in 2000, Euronext has grown into the leading pan-European market infrastructure.
Following the IPO in 2014, we embarked on an accelerated growth journey, expanding our reach through strategic acquisitions like the Irish Stock Exchange, Oslo Børs, and Borsa Italiana.
Beyond geographic expansion, Euronext diversified into new asset classes, FX trading, power trading, and fixed-income trading with the acquisition of Euronext FX, Nord Pool and MTS. Simultaneously, we expanded the post-trade arena with acquisitions of CSDs in Norway, Denmark, and Italy (which joined the business we already owned in Portugal), coupled with the expansion of Euronext Clearing. The company now covers seven local markets, four CSDs, and one clearing house.
Over the past decade, Euronext has undergone remarkable growth and transformation, establishing itself as a robust and dynamic company.
Our teams established a thriving Corporate Services franchise. Additionally, we solidified our technology leadership with the deployment of the state-of-the-art proprietary trading platform, Optiq. Notably, we achieved a successful data centre relocation from the UK to Bergamo in Italy, with ESG as a driving force.
