Your Tasks

Your work will focus on growing Nord Pool’s presence in Western Europe.

  • Attract new customers by managing the full sales cycle, from identifying and contacting potential customers to negotiating contracts and onboarding new participants, while also managing existing key accounts.
  • Establish and expand a strong network with energy industry stakeholders, including customers, TSOs/DSOs, regulators and other public bodies.
  • Represent and promote Nord Pool in external forums, trade fairs and conferences.
  • Work with customers and external stakeholders to understand their needs and industry trends to help shape innovative and competitive offerings in the region.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Operations, Customer Service and Product Management.

Who are we looking for?

  • 3-10 years experience in sales or stakeholder management, preferably within the energy or financial industry (short- and/or long-term markets).
  • A degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English is required in addition to French or Dutch. Speaking intermediate or fluent Italian is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, primarily within Western Europe.
  • You are innovative, energetic and ambitious, yet collaborative and structured, with strong analytical, communication and relationship-building skills.

Join Euronext as our Finance Data Governance lead in Porto.

Due to the rapid growth in data volumes and complexity, and Euronext’s strategic focus on digital and artificial intelligence capabilities, we are transitioning from a centralised to a federated data governance model. In this new approach, each business domain is responsible for implementing its own data governance programme, with direction and support from the Group Data Governance team. The Finance domain is now seeking a finance data governance lead to drive this initiative within its area.

This is a pivotal role for a self-starter with strong tenacity and business acumen. Someone who can understand domain-specific needs and priorities, and shape a data governance programme that delivers tangible value. You will collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including business lines, business data owners, data stewards, domain and group IT teams, and the Group Data Governance function. This is a unique opportunity to lead meaningful change and help embed a culture of data ownership and accountability within a key area of the business.

You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Driving the implementation of data governance in the Finance business line, ensuring business needs are identified and prioritised, and that efforts align with organisational tools, policies and frameworks defined by the Group Data Governance team, following Data Mesh principles.
  • Contributing to the development, enhancement and operationalisation of data governance frameworks, policies and standards to improve data quality, integrity, lineage, security and accessibility.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, computer science, information technology or other STEM disciplines.
  • At least seven years of professional experience, including three to four years in a data governance and management role.
  • Proven experience in a data management role with a focus on governance.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance principles and practices, ideally in a federated or Data Mesh environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with database technologies and ETL (extract, transform, load).
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience with data visualisation tools and techniques.

Your key responsibilities:

Application Support & Incident Management

  • Provide technical support for vendor platform applications (e.g., Megara Corporate Actions Platform for Euronext CSDs).

  • Integrate the Production schedule for application support (24/5 support – business hours onsite, on-call outside business hours).

  • Follow and enforce ITIL and ISO 20000 best practices.

  • Triage incidents related to post-trade applications and other ITCCA team responsibilities:

About the department

Being part of Euronext Market Services (EMS), EMS Markets is at the heart of the Euronext organization. EMS is the front line for Euronext Cash, Derivatives and Commodities business with two operational centres in Amsterdam and Paris. Managing the safety net for trading and safe keeping of the Euronext financial markets within the legal framework to ensure fair and orderly markets for all Cash, Derivatives and Commodities products trading is part of the day to day work. The two teams operate daily from 06:30-22:30 CET.

EMS is a preferred entry point for all talents willing to work in the Euronext or more broadly in the financial markets industry. Depending on the shift, the Market Surveillance Analyst has responsibility over a portfolio of international Equity, Index or Commodity Derivative products. One of the main tasks is to supervise the portfolio of Derivative products and trading behaviours to ensure fair and orderly trading is safeguarded. Within your responsibilities you will take necessary actions to prevent irregularities in the market and to resolve issues quickly and accurately.

The candidate will be primarily responsible for:

  • Maintaining the derivative safety nets that are used for trading to avoid particular occurrences such as significant price deviations or flash crashes. This can be done by tuning settings and resolving derivative pricing alerts and adjusting pricing parameters.
  • Based on rules and regulations, take decisions to halt and reopen the derivative contracts and decide if trades are aberrant or if orders need to be cancelled.
  • Monitor the Derivative alerts, spot, report and escalate irregularities based on the Euronext trading procedures, rulebooks, MIFIDII regulation and Market Abuse framework.
  • Maintain the test environment and perform sanity checks for on new trading platform releases to secure a safe production environment
  • Provide expertise and write Requirements in the diverse projects EMS Markets is involved with.
  • Calculation of high-quality daily settlement prices and expiry prices used as closing prices for the Exchange and used by the clearing house for settlements

Your profile

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Science
  • At least three years of experience in the financial sector, including strong expertise in derivatives. Experience in market surveillance within a derivatives exchange environment is considered an advantage.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented individual with a strong affinity for financial trading
  • English: full professional proficiency is required; Dutch or French is a plus
  • Strong IT acumen
  • Python knowledge is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Hands-on approach, organized, with attention to detail and able to bring structure
  • Team player and intercultural competence and excellent communication skills with ability to work in a virtual team across locations to achieve common goals and deliver projects
  • Able to take decisions under pressure, in consultation with other more experienced colleagues, and able to handle stressful situations

Euronext Clearing provides an internship opportunity with the Default Management Procedure, Operational Oversight & Advisory for Euronext Clearing (DOOA Team) to provide oversight for clearing and settlement services managed by the Operations Department (Operations).

Key Responsibilities

  • ensure support for the development Operations team of the various functions of the Default Management technical procedure;

  • ensure support for the Operations team responsible for amendments and integrations to the Default Management Procedure Rules;

  • ensure support for the DOOA team responsible for amendments and integrations to the Internal (sensitive) procedures, Business Impact Analysis (BIA)  internal procedures and new  or new procedures arising from changes both European and national regulations or for new activities promoted by the Euronext Group;

  • ensure support for the Operations team responsible for analysis of the Cyber Recovery Enhancement Program - Stream 2 - for business aspects;

  • ensure support for the DOOA team responsible for oversee incident management processes, for represent the team in the Change Advisory Board (CAB) / GO – No GO meeting, ensuring deployments do not compromise daily operations and for the SIP-Meetings through the Weekly review of open incidents, KPI -Weekly data input;

  • ensure support for the DOOA team responsible for the Operational Committee and CCP Monitoring & Prioritization Senior Committee of Euronext Clearing.

Candidate's Profile

  • Master's Degree in Economics or Finance;

  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving attitude;

  • Able to work accurately and effectively under pressure;

  • Strong time management skills required to meet the internal and external deadlines;

  • Fluent in English; French is a plus.
