    Roparun sounds the gong

    Roparun will start Saturday, June 8th in Hamburg and Paris and finishes Whit Monday in Rotterdam. Bas Nijhuis, ambassador for Roparun sounds the gong accompanied by participants of team ING and team Deloitte.

    About Roparun

    The Roparun is a relay race of more than 500 kilometers from Paris and Hamburg to Rotterdam, in which people work as a team to give a combined sports performance in order to raise money for people who suffer from cancer. This year’s 28th edition has 324 teams participating in this challenge.

    Besides the physical challenge, the team must also make an effort to raise money for the cause. Teams do this by organizing various activities. The three teams who raise the most money are honored during the final celebration of the Roparun, which takes place a few weeks after the finish. Over the past twenty-seven editions of the Roparun, more than eighty-three million Euro has been raised.

    The chairman of the board of the MS Vereniging Nederland, Jan van Amstel sounds the gong in honor of World MS day.

    What is World MS Day?

    World MS Day is a yearly international event on May 30th, with the goal of creating awareness for the disease multiple sclerosis. During the entire month of May several events are organized to raise attention for MS. The theme this year is ‘Movement & Mobility’, which is why they are organizing mobility scooter, walking and cycling tours throughout the country for our members and other interested parties. Their activities are organized by the regional team of the MS Vereniging Nederland, who create an awareness of the association and its activities.

    MS Vereniging Nederland is the only patient organization in The Netherlands for people who have multiple sclerosis (MS) and their loved ones. For its approximately 8,500 members the organization offers activities and services which assist these members with questions and concerns. MS Vereniging gives people with MS a voice by representing these people at health care providers, governments, and health insurers.  They also provide information sessions about the disease and life with MS in an effort to allow people to make choices in order to stay in control of their own life.

    Vesteda opens trading day

    Vesteda successfully issued its inaugural Green Bond. This is the second benchmark-size bond under its €2.5 billion EMTN program and the first EUR Green Bond by a residential fund. To mark the occasion Frits Vervoort, CFO, sounds the gong.

    The proceeds of the bond will be used to finance homes with a minimum EPC label A, and homes which have made an improvement of at least two EPC label-steps up to a minimum EPC label C. Vesteda will report on the estimated energy savings and greenhouse gas emission avoidance of the assets under this green bond. The €500 million bonds have a term of 8 years and a coupon of 1.5%. The bond was more than 6 times oversubscribed. ABN AMRO (Green Bond Structuring Advisor), BNP Paribas, ING, Rabobank, and SMBC Nikko acted as Joint Bookrunners. The bond will be listed on Euronext Amsterdam.


    Vesteda is an entrepreneurial investor with a clear focus on the Dutch residential real estate market. Vesteda invests funds for institutional investors such as pension funds and insurers. Vesteda has total capital of €7.3 billion invested in real estate. Its rental portfolio stands at a total of approx. 28,000 residential units.     Kids board of advice Lolo’s opens trading day with Albert Heijn 

    Since the start of selling in retail exclusively for Albert Heijn in February, the brand has already been able to give more than 14.000 meals to the poorest children of the townships in South Africa. To celebrate this wonderful achievement, Lolo’s will open the trading day with their partner retailer Albert Heijn.

    Lolo’s Lolo’s believes that kids deserve good food. With this in mind, the startup develops healthy kids snacks and cereal. All products of Lolo’s are 100% natural, contain no added sugar and  are completely organic. In June 2018 Lolo’s was part of the finals of the Albert Heijn product pitch. After this event, the brand deserved a spot in the shelves of the retailer of the Netherlands; Albert Heijn. For each box sold, the brand gives a nutritious meal to an underprivileged child in South Africa.

    ‘We believe kids deserve good food, anywhere in the world. With our  one for one program we can really make a difference in the lives of many children.’ Says Lysanne Denneboom, co-founder of Lolo’s.

    Lolo’s is being run by not only the management but also by a group of honest children that together form the Kids board of advice. Twelve kids help the brand with all the steps in the process.
