KNVB and ENGIE launch GO smart mobility program

KNVB and ENGIE jointly launch the GO smart mobility program 

In Dutch football there are tens of thousands of games every week. The traffic that goes with it (players, supporters and family members) causes a huge amount of pollution: 65 kiloton of CO₂ emissions per year.

KNVB and ENGIE are tackling the challenge of achieving CO₂ reduction across all kinds of transport, such as bus, car and train. Various solutions will be developed jointly in the coming years. Such as optimizing the playing schedule, integrating new modes of transport, implementation of smart charging stations and designing technical solutions for, for example, 'driving to the games together'.

Football is the largest sport in the Netherlands which means that an optimal impact can be generated on CO₂ reduction.

ENGIE Nederland
ENGIE stands out with regards to the energy transition of almost all its competitors. Because it is both a technical service provider and an energy supplier, the company can mean just a bit more for its customers. With smart technological solutions, the company looks at whether it can reduce the energy needs of its customers. Then it fills in the remaining energy requirement with renewable energy. Poké Perfect nominated for Takeaway.com award

Poké Perfect nominated for Best Restaurant Awards 2018

Gerrit Jan and Quinta Witzel jointly sound the gong at the Amsterdam Exchange. Their restaurant chain, Poké Perfect, has been nominated for the Best Restaurant Awards 2018. Thuisbezorgd.nl, the Dutch branch of the Euronext listed Takeaway.com (ticker symbol: TKWY), selected a number of restaurants on which customers can vote until 6 January 2019.

The Witzel siblings started Poké Perfect after they wanted to offer a healthy alternative to fast food. Poké Perfect opened its first branch on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam in October 2016, followed by two more branches in Amsterdam and one in Utrecht. Dance4Life starts campaign month by sounding the gong

Saturday, December 1 is World Aids Day and that day the world pays attention to the fact that HIV and AIDS are still a major health problem.

City of Amsterdam congratulates winners Entrepreneur awards

On November 23, 2018, the City of Amsterdam announced the winners of the Amsterdamse Ondernemersprijs (the prize for the best entrepreneur of Amsterdam) and the DAM Prijs 2018 (the most sustainable entrepreneur of the city).

The winner of the Amsterdam Entrepreneur Award is Menno Simons from Bocca-Coffee. With Bocca Coffee he was one of the first to make good coffee accessible to a wide audience.

Tiemen ter Hoeven from Roetz-Bikes is the winner of the DAM Prize 2018. The jury of the DAM Prize: 'Roetz-Bikes is a well-thought-out circular initiative with a fantastic social agenda.
