Run4Schools Foundation celebrates 10th anniversary by sounding final gong of 2014

The Run4Schools Foundation celebrates its 10th anniversary by sounding the final gong of the year.

The gong is sounded in the presence of the run2oceans4schools team 2015 that will run the 56 tough kilometers of the Two Oceans Marathon on 4 April 2015 in Cape Town. The runners run to raise money for the foundation to finance both in- and after- school sports activities and care at four primary schools in the township of Mitchell's Plain, Cape Town, South Africa. The after school sports activities prove to be an effective instrument to keep children away from gangs and prevents them from engaging in drugs, crime or worse. Over 4.500 children are participating in the programs on a weekly basis. Running ambassador, Arjan Wennekes, sounds the gong.
