Key Accountabilities

  • Within the Primary Markets department, the Business Development team is the reference knowledge and project centre. The intern will be involved in the launch and development of new initiatives, namely strategic business projects related to debt and equity listing, and the automation of statistics and business intelligence, and he/she will participate in the preparation of monthly and quarterly group reports on business performance for senior management.

  • Consequently, his/her missions will include stock market performance analyses and ECM activity benchmarking vs. competing exchanges. Taking part in the team’s effort, the intern will also help bolster the team’s research capacities by contributing to know-how and content on specific sectors and/or topics related to equity and debt capital markets.

Company Webcast has focused its sales activities on four core scenarios, namely Stakeholder (Investor Relations) Communication, Internal Communication, Marketing Communication and E-Learning Communication.

Key Accountabilities

  • Revenue management:

Responsibility for developing and maintaining revenues (including on a recurring basis) with existing/new clients by leveraging the added value of our four Webcasting Formats (Stakeholder/Investor Relations, Internal Communication, Marketing & E-Learning).

  • Relationship management:

Making tactical and strategic contacts at management level (including heads of Investor Relations, Marketing & Communication) through client networks and other channels.

  • Product & market development:

Building specific, sector-oriented knowledge for the various formats (primarily focus on Investor Relations and internal communication). Identifying market developments and translating these into sales activities (outbound). You take care to ensure that you are regarded as a reliable advisor.

  • Client success:

Euronext operates an investment funds listing and trading business across 3 European markets in Paris, Amsterdam and Dublin. Euronext currently provides an open-ended fund NAV trading service through Amsterdam. The focus of this role is to manage existing client relationships for the listing and trading business in Dublin and Amsterdam and to assist with new business development of existing services. The role will also involve the development of new services ( e.g. distribution and post trade)  for investment funds within the Euronext group as it expands its reach across Europe.

Euronext seeks to recruit a business development manager to develop and manage the Euronext investment funds business with particular focus on the markets operated in Ireland and Amsterdam. The role, based in Dublin, reports to the Head of Investment Funds, who manages the P&L for these product lines with a team based in Dublin, Paris and London. The team is part of Euronext’s Centre of Excellence for Debt listings & Funds and ETFs and works closely with the Cash Markets business at Euronext which also includes Equities, Structured Products and Fixed Income.

This role is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a motivated and proactive self-starter to be involved in a growing business and be at the heart of transformation within the investment funds industry. It demands robust and broad knowledge of the investment funds ecosystem as well a credible and strong profile within the asset management sector. The role will combine operational expertise, product knowledge, client relationships and industry awareness.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage existing relationships with clients using Euronext Fund Services (a trading platform for investment funds) in Amsterdam, including asset managers and fund agents but also including market participants such as brokers, market makers and investors. Act as central point of contact for operational queries on the Dutch market from both internal teams and external stakeholders. Develop new business for this market, including its promotion with market participants in other European locations.

  • Manage existing relationships for the investment funds business in Dublin.  Promotion of listing, trading and other services to asset managers and service providers.   Operate as a central point of contact on the Euronext listing process and the investment funds markets operated in Dublin and Amsterdam.

  • Engage with key industry participants to understand needs and identify opportunities for Euronext to broaden and develop its investment funds offering across Europe.

  • Assist with the development of a new pan European investment funds marketplace.

  • Coordinate with and support the business development and integration of other Euronext services within the asset management sector, e.g. Funds 360, Euronext corporate services, VP Securities (CSD).

  • Conduct market analysis and research to support development of the investment funds business.  

  • Support the Head of Investment Funds with ad-hoc operational & administrative tasks.

  • Managing and support various internal projects related to new acquisitions within the Euronext group.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • 5 years experience in asset management industry displaying strong industry awareness and credibility.

  • Excellent knowledge of European investment funds landscape and distribution of investment funds.

  • Background in product / service business development with strong track record. Excellent relationship management and sales capability.

  • Strong client network within the European investment  funds industry.

  • Highly organised with previous project management experience.

  • Strong client skills and the capacity to engage knowledgably in detailed discussions about client needs, the asset management industry and future product development.

  • Excellent communication skills to manage all stakeholders in the sales and product development process.  Previous project management experience would be beneficial.

  • Ability to effectively communicate via video conference/online tools and engage remotely within the Euronext group and externally with existing and target clients.

Profile and Skills

  • 3 to 10 years of IT experience in a leadership / decision making position: Technical Lead or Architect

  • Proven experience in project execution and delivery as Delivery Manager or Project Manager

  • Strong expertise in DevOps and CI/CD ; In depth knowledge of multiple tools contributing to a CI/CD/CT pipeline
