Job description

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Services, the Corporate Services Sales Director will be responsible for the following activities:

DIRECT SELLING

  • He/she will handle direct selling of one (or more) Corporate Services solutions in the country where he/she will be based. This will be discussed at a later stage of the process, depending on the territory where the Corporate Services Sales Director will be active and the current market coverage that Corporate Services has of this territory through its different Sales Specialists.

MANAGING SEVERAL SALES MANAGERS

  • He/she will prepare, help defining, and execute the deployment strategy and execution roadmap within the assigned territory for Corporate Services across all customers’ segments (issuers and their ecosystem, financial services firms, private companies, government and local authorities).
  • He/she will help to define the best packages and pricing policy to meet the needs of the clients and prospects whilst reaching the revenues and margin objectives of Corporate Services.
  • He/she will help coordinate with the Lead Generation and Marketing teams of Corporate Services the preparation of the relevant Lead Generation and Marketing actions (including marketing materials, social media campaigns etc.).
  • He/she will manage several Sales Managers of Corporate Services in both countries where Euronext operates the stock exchange and countries where Euronext is not the incumbent stock exchange. In particular, the Sales Director will closely monitor (i) pipeline and activity, (ii) leads, (iii) CRM inputs and (iv) execution of high-level plans drafted by the management of Corporate Services in these different countries.

COMMERCIAL INTENSITY & SALES MANAGEMENT

  • He/she will execute this strategy by ensuring a high level of commercial intensity and client engagement, creating and establishing productive, collaborative, and trustful relationships with both all prospects and influencers and all Euronext’s stakeholders both in the territory that this person will cover and in the territories where his / her team is based.
  • He/she will organise and animate events to promote our Corporate Services.
  • He/she will manage the sales process with prospects and clients, negotiate the contracts (according to Euronext’s policies) to maximise cross-selling and close sales autonomously or in collaboration with his / her team of Sales Managers and the relevant Sales Specialists of the different solutions of Corporate Services.
  • Depending on the countries where he/she will be based, he/she will be responsible for extending the relationship between Corporate Services and some of the new companies acquired by Euronext (e.g. Nordpool in the Nordic countries of Europe or Commcise in the UK).

STRUCTURE A CHANNEL / PARTNERSHIP TRANSVERSALLY STRATEGY FOR CORPORATE SERVICES

Corporate Services has identified two transversal topics in its Sales function where it would like to develop: (i) be present / distributed in the remaining countries where it is not present and (ii) complete its product portfolio with meaningful commercial or strategic partnerships (see the announcements made on 17 June 2020 on ESG for example).

  • He/she will Identify, recruit, onboard and monitor new channel partners within a list of territories to be agreed.
  • He/she will analyze market trends to identify missing items in the product portfolio of Corporate Services and will form strategic partnerships in order to catch related opportunities.
  • He/she will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the commercial partnerships will channel distributors and strategic product partners.

PARTICIPATE IN THE MANAGEMENT OF CORPORATE SERVICES

The Sales Director of Corporate Services will be a de facto member of the management team of Corporate Services, where it is expected that he will have an influential role. In particular, he/she is expected to own the commercial part of the geographic expansion of Corporate Services and be in a position to comment / influence all strategic commercial decisions or cross-selling actions.

The Sales Director of Corporate Services will also join the group of Sales Directors / Heads of Sales of the different businesses of Corporate Services and will coordinate them in order to execute priorities defined by the management team.

The Communications and Investor Relations team based in Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon, Oslo and Paris, plays a key role in how the media perceives Euronext , organizes all external events of Euronext and also manages relations with investors and analysts.

 

Within the Communications and Investor Relations team, we have a team of talented people specialising in Event Management, Media Relations, Investor Relations, Employee Engagement, Social media communication and Branding& Content management. The role of the Media Relations team is to inform the public of Euronext's mission, policies and practices in a positive, consistent and credible manner. To this end, we develop and implement targeted communication strategies to convey our message to external audiences most effectively while continuously seeking out opportunities to raise the company's profile in the media, as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with the press. We held and are the guardian of all the external and internal communications for the Group and at local level. Our team reflect the federal model approach with a Communication Manager present in each one of our countries, and Corporate communication is managed in Paris.

Euronext’s Communications and Investor Relations department is looking for a Communications Manager in Oslo, reporting to the Chief Communications and Investor Relations officer based in Paris, and with a dotted-reporting line to the CEO of Oslo.

 

In the event of a crisis, it's our role to protect Euronext's reputation in the media as our activities amongst other things, are aimed at supporting Euronext's business strategy and creating favourable points of view among the media and the general public.

Media relations :

  • Prepare and advise communications strategy and materials across various businesses and activities (e.g. listings, indices, post-trade, commodities, regulatory issues in Oslo and for transversal projects): press releases, Q&A, terms of reference, press kits

Role summary

As a Market Data Compliance officer you work in the heart of Amsterdam, in an internationally oriented position with a focus on market data compliance. You act within the Market Data Compliance and Operations department and oversee the Market Data Compliance Program. Job Summary

The Systems Solutions Engineer is responsible for running some of the world’s largest stock and derivative exchanges.

The role is divide into two keys function: first to support the daily operation of Euronext business, contributing to the stability, resilience and quality improvement of the infrastructure & Cloud Services; second to work as a Solution architect for Systems & AWS Cloud technologies, designing and implementing new projects.

The Systems Solutions Engineer provides second and third line support of all network and Security solutions for Euronext. This includes carrying an important voice on aspects of implementation, testing, performance and operation.

The Systems Solutions Engineer participates in the Systems technology design and conceptualization in collaboration with the others teams contributing to the improvement of the IaaS & PaaS model.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Systems Solutions Engineer provide 24x7x365 quality expert support for critical trading infrastructure including storage and backup platforms via both onsite and on-call.  Linux O/S platforms are the key focus of this role;
  • Lead the maintenance of Systems technologies to enable effective management of business and technical requirements for all corporate and Data Center layers;
  • Manage third party suppliers for operational effectiveness and to influence design decisions to ensure maximum business benefit is obtained from the system infrastructure;

Key Accountabilities

The Application support Team members needs to ensure operability and stability of the implemented solutions within projects by: 

·        Building packages needed to guarantee productivity, stability and automation;

·        Configuring and supporting application-level monitoring;

·        Working closely with the development, QA and Ops teams to implement changes and resolve issues; 

·        Communicating with stakeholders regarding status of project deliverables, problems resolution, and post mortem root cause analysis of issues;

·        Reducing the technical debt by continuously upgrading/improving the existing infrastructure/applications;

·        Adhering to operational best practices in a highly transactional environment.

Profile and Skills

Essential

·        Degree, CET or equivalent in a computer related subject;

·        Academic knowledge in: Linux Systems; Python and Shell scripting;

·        Fluency in English. 

Desirable

·        Knowledge of financial markets;

·        Knowledge of ITIL framework and processes;

·        Scripting language (Shell/Perl/PHP/Python);

·        Knowledge in automation tools like Ansible, Jenkins.

In direct report to the Head of Euronext Market Services, the Head of Trading Operations is responsible for:

Teams orientations and ambition:

  • Defines the team vision, strategy and ambition.

  • Leads and supports the transformation roadmap for market and surveillance teams (including quality framework, robotization of tasks and related AI topics).

  • Acts as the platform owner of all trading systems, jointly with the Business Product Owner.

  • Contributes to the definition of the ambitions and the transformation of EMS department - as being part of the EMS Management team.

Management:

  • Ensures that the organisation of the teams, resource planning, shifts and rotations/backups are performed in an effective way.  

  • Is responsible for overall performance review process of team members, leveraging his direct reports.

  • Manages the teams and ensures they can offer to EMS members a fair and orderly market compliant with the existing regulations.

  • Ensures teams and newcomers are properly skilled and trained to achieve their missions.

Operational excellence / risks / quality:

  • Represents EMS in some governance instances or externally (client meetings, regulators …).

  • Owns the risks related to his / her scope and works jointly with Head of Quality and Performance Management to manage related mitigation plans.

  • Sets up a strong operational discipline to ensure operational excellence and high level of service delivered to clients (in the respect of OLA and SLAs).

  • Monitors and follow-up team’s and markets’ performance using appropriate KPIs.

  • Overviews and monitors the day-to-day activities and ensuring the respect of all the procedures within the teams (inc. day to day checks, continuous monitoring, etc.).

  • Acts as the first point of contact for issues and need of escalation of operational topics/risks.

  • Is part of the Alpha Agent group: in a case of an incident, has the authority to make decisions on the market, including halting the market, purging order books…).

  • Ensures an efficient incident management process.

  • Follow-up and secure EMS performance and monitoring with appropriate dashboard, reports and tools.

Projects:

  • Secures systematic identification, definition and prioritization of the improvement opportunities.

  • Acts as a sponsor for key EMS projects/continuous improvements items and participate to some Euronext strategic project governance.

  • Defines the approach to integrate new exchanges / trading venues in the scope of Market Operations.

  • Takes ownership of transversal topics, in full autonomy.

  • Acts as EMS lead for key strategic projects.

Knowledge, Personality, Skills and Experience Required

The successful candidate for this position will have the gravitas, maturity and credibility to be accepted at a senior level of the organisation as well as in the Euronext ecosystem, including clients and regulators. He/she should have the ability to continuously improve the Euronext processes in order to deliver operational excellence.

Master’s degree in Finance, Business or Engineering and knowledge of financial markets is essential. IT background is a plus.

Candidates will need to come with the right set of values that will fit in the Euronext’s culture. Some important attributes, including vision for operations excellence, high energy & leadership, well organised, adaptability and rigor.

Additionally, the candidate should have a hands-on style and a flexible attitude. He/she should have a dynamic personality with strong interpersonal and relationship skills, capable of building a strong collaborative culture within the multi-cultural operations teams.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Equity market operations either in an exchange/trading venue or in one market participants

  • Proven experience in leading Operations (project & process management is a plus).

  • Ability to act in full compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, company policies and codes of conduct.

  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and execution.

  • Proven managerial capabilities, leadership skills and experience in functioning in a high demanding complex environment with innovative Operations teams. 

  • Able to lead meeting/brainstorming on a complex and/or political topic and get people’s alignment.

  • Strong collaboration skills, ability to work in a matrix organization.

  • Great communicator (English – French and/or Dutch is a plus) and excellent interpersonal skills.
