Norcod bringer bærekraftig torskeoppdrett til Børsen

Oslo, 15. oktober 2020 – Torskeoppdretteren Norcod ble i dag tatt opp til handel på Merkur Market. «For første gang kan oppdrettstorsk av høy kvalitet produseres i stor skala», konstaterer selskapet.

Norcod produserer oppdrettstorsk i tråd med sentrale bærekraftmål og minimal miljøpåvirkning.

«Villfiskbestanden er under press og det gjøres kutt i fiskekvoter for torsk. Norcod tar sikte på å fylle gapet i markedet for etterspørsel av bærekraftig, fersk torsk», skriver selskapet på hjemmesiden.

I forbindelse med børsnoteringen hentet Norcod 250 millioner kroner i frisk kapital. Aksjeemisjonen ble møtt med stor interesse, både fra norske og utenlandske investorer, og ble betydelig overtegnet, meldte selskapet.

Norcod vil vokse, og planlegger å bruke emisjonskronene til å øke produksjonskapasiteten.
