Job Description

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join the Data & Automation team. The position will be based in Milan. You will report to the Head of Data & Automation.

You will be mainly responsible for supporting day-to-day data analysis and data management activities. Utilising analytics and technical skills to assist in building and maintaining data solutions to address business problems. Helping ensure the quality of data communicated to clients and engage in initiatives to implement relevant analysis contents.

• Work with team-based risk coordinators, produce risk profiles with the business and facilitate management responses, presenting these to senior managers as required.

ELITE  –  Business Data Analyst

The resource - within the Strategy and Business Development division - will support data-driven activities and strategic initiatives by gathering, organizing and analysing information from complex datasets to extract actionable insights in order to enhance business performance and decision-making, both for internal scope (i.e. analysis, reporting, new members onboarding, …) and for business development insights (i.e. clients' needs mapping, data strategy evolution, data-driven upselling/cross selling opportunities).

The Business Data Analyst will work in coordination with the other ELITE's business divisions including product, sales and marketing to continuously enhance and foster a data driven approach across all ELITE’s functions.

Activities will involve data operations and manipulation tasks including cleaning and integration. The resource will use tools such as Excel and query languages to transform and enrich data through data mapping techniques, and tools such as Power BI to analyse and visualize data and insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management: Analysis, quality assurance, integration of data collected from the community to produce solid data sets usable for internal and external analysis, visualization and future machine learning operations. Valorization and integration of unstructured data, classification and extraction of relevant information from different data sources. Ensure data quality and maintenance of data assets (internal DB) by implementing best practices in data management and governance.
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement. Provide actionable insights based on data in order to monitor and enhance business performance.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Create and maintain dashboards, reports and visualizations (Excel, Power BI, …) to communicate key metrics and insights effectively.
  • Support on Product & Market development:
    • Build specific, sector-oriented knowledge for the different products/solutions to be developed or tested with current and prospect clients Europe-wide
    • Help to identify market needs and opportunities through data analytics and provide actionable potential offer/product and sales activities (outbound)
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, product) to support the development of new products/solutions and maintenance of existing products/solutions in line with client requirements and data mapping
  • Contribution on revenue management: enhance data management and strategy to continuously improve and maintain revenues (including on a recurring basis) with existing and new clients.
  • Client success: support the team to ensure that the service/product is successfully delivered to the clients. Identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities.

Candidate Profile/ Key Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Management Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (at least 2y) in data management, analytics and insight generation. Experience in a role to support business development, strategy, innovation or sales is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages, including Excel Power Queries, R, SQL and Python)  and data visualization tools like Power BI.

Introduction

Euronext Clearing is a multi-asset-class clearing house that provides proven risk management capabilities for Euronext’s cash, financial and commodity derivatives markets. As the central counterparty (CCP) of choice for Euronext markets, it ensures the efficient and safe functioning of the markets.

We are seeking a skilled Clearing Operational Risk Manager to join our team in Rome. In this role, you will support the operational risk framework and contribute to the ongoing development of risk culture and processes across the organisation, ensuring robust risk management in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Leading and coordinating the identification, assessment, monitoring and mitigation of operational and IT risks, including cyber security, IT resilience, business continuity, third-party and data management
  • Develop, manage and monitor Key Risk Indicators and promote risk awareness across the Company
  • Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of the Enterprise risk management framework, ensuring alignment with Group policies, regulatory requirements (including DORA) and industry standards
  • Providing expert guidance on risk policies, methodologies and control requirements to business and functional teams
  • Coordinating scenario analysis and contributing to Recovery and Resolution Plans, presenting findings and recommendations to management

  • 5-6 years of work experience within financial or technology services (e.g. banks, regulators, audit or consultancy firms), ideally with exposure to clearing or post-trade environments
  • Good knowledge of IT governance, information security and business continuity frameworks (such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 22301, NIST, CIS Framework, ITIL, DORA)
  • Strong transversal understanding of end-to-end business, operational and IT processes
  • Experience in coordinating projects and engaging with regulatory authorities
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess cross-functional impacts

Role Overview: The Sales & Relationship Manager will play a crucial role within the Sales & Relationship Manager division, focusing on ELITE business and commercial development across the different EU geographies where ELITE is developing its presence (ie CEE Region, Netherland, Spain, Greece).

Become a tour guide for the AEX Experience

In 2013, Euronext Amsterdam, in collaboration with Stichting Capital Amsterdam, launched the AEX Experience - an educational initiative aimed at enhancing the financial literacy of students. This project aligns with Stichting Capital Amsterdam's educational goals, alongside promoting market financing, stock exchange activities, and preserving Dutch stock market heritage. The AEX Experience has been a successful concept, often paired with tours of De Nederlandsche Bank by schools. After a decade, the experience is being upgraded to resonate with today's youth and is set to reopen in September 2025 following a comprehensive renovation.

The AEX Experience offers visitors an immersive journey into the world of finance, providing insights into the workings of investing, the AEX index and the Amsterdam stock exchange. Our mission is to educate and inspire individuals about the financial markets through engaging and informative tours.

The AEX Experience is a 1-hour tour designed for scholars and students aged 15-21 years. It offers:

  • An opportunity to discover the world of investing.
  • An interactive and educational experience where they learn about the history of the stock exchange.
  • A chance to enhance their financial knowledge by participating in the 'Investing' course and applying what they have learned in the Investors Game.
  • A challenge to see if they can become the best investor and make the most profit.

The AEX Experience is a joint initiative by Euronext Amsterdam and Stichting Capital Amsterdam, the independent foundation that promotes the importance of the public capital market in the Netherlands. Goal of the AEX Experience is to increase the financial literacy of future generations of investors in the Netherlands.

About the Position

We are seeking enthusiastic tour guides, for the execution of our educational tours. As a guide, you will be the face of the AEX Experience,  leading visitors through our interactive tour through the building. Your enthusiasm will ensure a memorable experience for all guests.

Flexible working hours (during office hours only)

We offer all tour guides comprehensive training on tour content and visitor engagement, making this role a perfect opportunity to work in a historic and educational setting. The tours will take place from Monday to Friday, between 10:00 – 17:00 CET. You will have the freedom to plan your own shifts, allowing you to combine this role easily with your studies or other commitments.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead groups of visitors through the AEX Experience, delivering informative and captivating narratives about the stock exchange and financial markets.
  • Address questions, provide additional information, and ensure a positive and educational experience for all guests.
