Join us as a Senior Quantitative Index Structurer 

 

Are you ready to shape the future of capital markets? We’re seeking a results-driven Senior Quantitative Index Structurer to join our Indices team in Paris. You will report to the Head of Buy Side Index Structuring & Technology. 

As a Senior Quant Index Structurer, you will join a team of 7 index designers across equities & fixed incomes. You will have the opportunity to develop flagship products such as our Blue-Chip & Benchmark Indices, focusing on the strategic index offering for Buy Side Institutional and Sell Side clients. You will contribute to solving complex problems and developing advanced quantitative solutions for the index business and lead the quantitative research and index design of the Euronext Index Business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and develop systematic, rules-based indices across alternative asset classes (e.g., volatility, commodities, rates, multi-asset, ESG, crypto).

  • Develop quantitative models to support index construction, backtesting, and performance attribution.

  • Optimize index methodologies using statistical, machine learning, or econometric techniques.

  • Market Research: Identify growth opportunities across various types of tradable products.

  • Research Publication: Publish applied research papers on index-related ideas and lead quantitative index content.

  • Thought Leadership: Act as a thought leader across various quant index capabilities (options-based strategies, applied machine learning strategies, factors, etc.).

  • Collaboration: Closely collaborate with other quant teams to identify new quantitative index ideas as well as sales to align index structuring priorities with commercial goals.

Desired Profile:

  • Strong background in financial engineering, quantitative finance, or applied mathematics.

Qualifications:

  • Degree: Master's degree in mathematics, engineering, or computer science with strong finance elements and business knowledge. Degrees in economics or finance with strong quantitative elements, especially in portfolio management, are also welcome.

  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years' experience in indexation, portfolio construction, financial product development, or trading.

Role and Key Accountabilities

As a Solution Architect, you will define and drive the architectural vision for ECS Products, focusing on scalable cloud-native solutions in Azure. ELITE  –  Business Data Analyst

The resource - within the Strategy and Business Development division - will support data-driven activities and strategic initiatives by gathering, organizing and analysing information from complex datasets to extract actionable insights in order to enhance business performance and decision-making, both for internal scope (i.e. analysis, reporting, new members onboarding, …) and for business development insights (i.e. clients' needs mapping, data strategy evolution, data-driven upselling/cross selling opportunities).

The Business Data Analyst will work in coordination with the other ELITE's business divisions including product, sales and marketing to continuously enhance and foster a data driven approach across all ELITE’s functions.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and support projects end-to-end, from ideation and rapid prototyping to production deployment, ensuring innovation and reliability across our data ecosystem.

Hybrid working model: 4 days per week in the office

Key Responsibilities

  • Write clean, maintainable, and robust code following best practices
  • Evaluate project feasibility and technical complexity, prioritizing code quality and robustness
  • Design optimized data processing flows for scalability and performance
  • Conduct peer code reviews and ensure deliverable quality
  • Coordinate with business teams on tasks and use cases
  • Write comprehensive technical documentation for delivered projects
  • Monitor production use cases and continuously improve performance and reliability

Profile & Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, with proven ability to design and implement scalable data solutions
  • Extensive experience with large and complex datasets in Python, using libraries such as pandas
  • Strong foundation in software engineering best practices: clean code, version control, automated testing, workflow automation
  • Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools and/or Dataiku is a strong advantage
  • Experience in the finance industry and its products is a strong advantage

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, hands-on, and eager to learn new tools and technologies
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical solutions into business value
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, agile, fast-paced environment
