You will join a highly international and collaborative environment, working with colleagues from many different countries as well as external partners such as market operators and transmission system operators across Europe. Together, you contribute to projects that shape how European electricity markets function and evolve.

You will:

  • Enhance and implement new functionality in market coupling systems
  • Configure and test market integration solutions
  • Play a key role in quality assurance and system validation
  • Work with system behaviour, interfaces, and data flows
  • Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure smooth and timely deliveries
  • Support the continuous development of business-critical systems connecting European electricity markets

You are not afraid to explore and understand how systems work under the hood.

Who are you?

You are a curious and structured problem-solver who enjoys understanding how complex systems, processes, and markets interact.

You likely have (or are close to completing) a Master’s degree in Energy Systems, Energy Economics, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

You are motivated by both electricity markets and technology, and you want to build a strong understanding of how real-world market systems operate in practice.

You also bring:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A structured and proactive way of working
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent English skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn

Experience that would be valuable

You may already have experience in some of the following areas—or you are eager to learn:

  • Trading, clearing or market operation platforms

Systems and Integrations

  • API integrations (JSON, XML)
  • Data flows and system interfaces

Technology and Quality

  • Software testing and quality assurance
  • Programming or scripting (e.g. Python, SQL, C#)
  • Agile ways of working

You will work at the core of a highly dynamic and evolving domain, where systems must perform reliably in real time and across multiple countries.

Why join Nord Pool?

Nord Pool offers a unique opportunity to work in a truly international environment, both internally and through collaboration with organisations across Europe. You will join a flat and collaborative organisation where knowledge sharing, responsibility, and teamwork are central.
