    This week, IEX media celebrates its 25th anniversary. The cross-media company has been a listed company itself since 2016. 

    With a monthly reach of 1.6 million private and professional investors, it has been a reliable source of investment information for 25 years. 

    The trading day was opened by Pieter Kort, Chief editor at IEX Media. The group was welcomed by Jeroen Hofs, Head of Market Data Compliance & Operations at Euronext Amsterdam.

    LYNX launches news portal US elections

    This morning, online broker LYNX was welcomed to Beursplein 5 on the occasion of the launch of their news portal. 

    Investors can follow the latest news surrounding the US elections thanks to this new feature and thus optimally prepare for the impact of the US elections on their investment portfolios. 

    To celebrate this launch, the gong was sounded by Ellen van Ginkel, CEO of LYNX. The group was warmly welcomed by Walter Hendriks, Chief Compliance Officer at Euronext Amsterdam.

    ClimateLaunchPad 2024

    Taking to the gong stage this morning was ClimateLaunchPad, a collaboration between TU Delft, EIT Climate-KIC and Bank of America.

     ClimateLaunchPad is the world's largest competition for green businesses. This year, it guided more than 500 green companies from 42 countries worldwide, from idea to business plan. 

    To celebrate this sustainable milestone, the gong was sounded by Sjoerd van Hooijdonk, Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, EMEA. The group was welcomed by Ibtissam Gzouny, HR director NL at Euronext Amsterdam.

Regulatory bodies

Euronext Amsterdam is governed by the Act on Financial Supervision of 28 September 2006. Operation of a regulated market in the Netherlands is subject to prior licence. This licence is granted to Euronext by the Dutch Minister of Finance. The AFM (Autoriteit Financiële Markten) and the Dutch National Bank act as the regulatory authority for members of Euronext Amsterdam.

The AFM:

  • Monitors the primary and secondary markets

  • Ensures compliance with market rules

  • Monitors clearing and settlement operations.
