    UvA x AI4FinTech: community for AI and FinTech

    Today, AI4FinTech was welcomed to Euronext Amsterdam. 

    This community focuses on Artificial Intelligence and Financial Technology (FinTech) and was established by the University of Amsterdam. The community, consisting of academics and professionals from the financial sector and beyond, brings together AI expertise with the latest financial technology. 

    Frederik Lansink, Junior Sales & Product Manager at Euronext Amsterdam, hosted the Gong ceremony for the representatives of this progressive community.

    Kick-off ABN AMRO Clearing Global Graduate Programme

    The ABN AMRO Clearing Global Graduate Programme has started again.
    During the first month industry experts, professional trainers and ABN AMRO Clearing managers have facilitated different sessions to give the young talents a solid basis. As of now, they are ready to embrace different assignments to prepare them for a role in the dynamic world of Clearing within 12 months.

    This year’s cohort was welcomed this morning by Jeroen Hofs, Head of Licensing Operation, Market Data, at Euronext Amsterdam to open a new trading day and get a glimpse of the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.

  • Alliander €500 million Green Hybrid Bond issuance

    Alliander celebrates €500 million Green Hybrid Bond issuance

    Alliander recently issued a bond worth €500 million. This Green Hybrid Bond, which has a perpetual duration, is listed on Euronext Amsterdam and was nearly six times oversubscribed at the time of issuance. 

    To celebrate the issuance of this bond, Enno Dykmann, Head of Treasury of Alliander, rang the bell this morning. 
    He and his team were welcomed by René van Vlerken, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam.

Regulatory bodies

Euronext Amsterdam is governed by the Act on Financial Supervision of 28 September 2006. Operation of a regulated market in the Netherlands is subject to prior licence. This licence is granted to Euronext by the Dutch Minister of Finance. The AFM (Autoriteit Financiële Markten) and the Dutch National Bank act as the regulatory authority for members of Euronext Amsterdam.

The AFM:

  • Monitors the primary and secondary markets

  • Ensures compliance with market rules

  • Monitors clearing and settlement operations.

A single Euronext Rule Book governs trading on all Euronext Securities and Derivatives Markets. It contains both harmonised and non-harmonised, or local, rules.
