VP is subject to supervision in accordance with both the European Regulation on central securities depositories and the Danish Act on Capital Markets.

VP is licensed by the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority and is subject to supervision in accordance with both the European Regulation on central securities depositories and the Danish Act on Capital Markets.

The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority regularly conducts inspections of VP.

As a central securities depository we are considered systemically important for a well-functioning financial system. As such, we are subject to oversight by the Danish Central Bank and the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority.

In June 2018, the Danish FSA visited VP Securities A/S on an inspection with focus on cyber security. The inspection was a functional study conducted as part of the ongoing supervision of VP Securities. It is the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority's overall assessment that VP Securities focuses sufficiently on risk, including cyber risk.
