Job Description

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join the Data & Automation team. The position will be based in Milan. You will report to the Head of Data & Automation.

You will be mainly responsible for supporting day-to-day data analysis and data management activities. Utilising analytics and technical skills to assist in building and maintaining data solutions to address business problems. Helping ensure the quality of data communicated to clients and engage in initiatives to implement relevant analysis contents.

Key accountabilities

  • Assist in data engineering initiatives, including designing and deploying Big Data products.

  • Help design, build, and enhance data platforms and applications to support business needs.

  • Support the development and maintenance of real-time software and services for trading platforms.

  • Contribute ideas on tools and frameworks to help define target solutions.

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong experience in enterprise, containerized, and multicloud environments.

Responsabilities:

  • DevOps & Platform Engineering
  • Design, deploy, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters across on‑premises and cloud environments.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of hybrid and multicloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Operate and optimize Apache Kafka clusters, including Mirror/MirrorMaker configurations for replication and resilience.
  • Provide support (nice‑to‑have) for MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL regarding replication, scaling, and backup strategies.
  • Implement observability solutions using:

o    OpenTelemetry

o    Prometheus / Grafana

Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka (distributed architecture, replication, high availability).
  • Familiarity with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other database platforms (plus).
  • Expertise in DevOps, automation, and scripting.
  • Solid understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and platform engineering principles.
  • Experience with observability stacks (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, Elastic).
  •  Experience with virtualization platforms (OpenShift Virtualization, Nutanix, VMware, KVM) is considered a plus.

About the role:
We are seeking a production support Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong automation skills to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability and performance of our production systems, while driving automation and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day operational support for production environments, ensuring high availability and reliability of critical services.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance automation scripts and tools using Bash, Python and Ansible to streamline operational tasks and incident response.
  • Monitor system performance, proactively identify issues and implement solutions to prevent service disruptions.
  • Collaborate with development, QA and infrastructure teams to implement best practices for deployment, monitoring and incident management.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to production incidents, performing root cause analysis and driving resolution.
  • Maintain and improve configuration management, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code practices.
  • Document operational processes, troubleshooting steps and automation workflows.

Required skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in a production support or SRE role within a complex, high-availability environment.
  • Strong automation skills with proficiency in Bash, Python and Ansible.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic stack, Datadog).
  • Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration and troubleshooting.
