The internship will provide hands-on experience in event coordination, customer service, and daily venue operations.

Responsibilities include supporting event setup, assisting during events, providing onsite assistance during conferences, and helping with administrative tasks.

The role also involves accompanying and assisting with site inspections, helping to present the venue to potential clients and partners.

Join us as a Clearing Operations Derivatives Analyst in our International Graduate Programme (V.I.E)!

We are looking for a Clearing Operations Derivatives Analyst (VIE) to join our team in Rome, starting on 1 February 2026, for an initial period of 12 months. This position is part of our International Graduate Programme (VIE) within Euronext Clearing. You will report to the ECO Derivatives Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity to launch your career with the leading pan-European market infrastructure. You will work closely with colleagues across different units and stakeholders, gaining hands-on experience in daily derivatives operations and contributing to projects that expand our product offering and improve our clearing processes.

You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Delivering daily post-trade services for derivatives, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and quality. This includes trade capture, post-trade operations, position management, exercise/assignment and expiry management, trade and instrument reconciliations, premium and variation margin oversight, cash settlement and power derivatives cascading management.
  • Managing corporate actions across derivatives products, ensuring precise execution and clear communication with clients.
  • Overseeing physical delivery expiries on commodities products, monitoring matching, reconciliations, reporting and escalating breaches to safeguard business rules.
  • Acting as the primary liaison for clearing members and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and operational excellence.
  • Performing daily reconciliations between internal systems and external sources, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Providing expert client advisory as a second-level point of contact for clearing members, collaborating with internal teams to resolve queries efficiently.
  • Contributing to operational growth by supporting projects, testing and process enhancements to streamline workflows and support business expansion and new product initiatives.
  • Supporting default management activities as a derivatives expert.
  • Performing additional operational tasks as required to maintain service excellence.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics or a related field.
  • At least one successful internship or work experience in the financial industry, strategy consulting or a fast-growing business.
  • Strong interest in clearing operations, with a focus on derivatives and commodities products.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
  • Able to work accurately and effectively under pressure.
  • Fluent in English; Italian is an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel; knowledge of SQL and Python is a plus.
  • Fast learner with a proactive and entrepreneurial approach.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
