Inauguration of the AEX Experience at Euronext Amsterdam

This morning, the gong was sounded at Euronext Amsterdam to celebrate the official opening of the AEX Experience. From interactive investing simulations to a guided tour of the world’s oldest exchange, the AEX Experience enables students to discover how markets work, why they matter, and how financial decisions shape the economy around us. The reopening of this educational tour also celebrates Euronext’s commitment to making financial education accessible for future generations. Developed with Stichting Capital Amsterdam, the Euronext Foundation and Belegger Uitlegger, the AEX Experience brings theory and practice together inside Beursplein 5, inspiring young people to explore investing, understand risk and build financial confidence for the future. The guests, including a group of students, joined the inauguration and participated in the AEX Experience first-hand. 

We were honoured to have Joost Smits sounding the gong to open the trading day. The guests were welcomed by René van Vlerken, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam, together with Cherelt Kroeze and Petri Hofste, General Secretary of Stichting Capital Amsterdam. Followed by a keynote from special guest Joost Smits, Chairman of Wijzer in Geldzaken and Deputy Treasurer-General of the Dutch Ministry of Finance.
