Beekdal Lyceum wins Dutch finals of Blue Challenge 2026

This morning, students from Beekdal Lyceum in Arnhem sounded the Gong at Euronext Amsterdam to celebrate winning the Dutch final of the Euronext Blue Challenge 2026.

The Blue Challenge is an entrepreneurship education programme launched by Euronext in partnership with JA Europe. It aims to inspire students aged 16 to 18 about sustainable finance and help them develop core competencies such as teamwork, problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills. The team won the Dutch final with PlastiCatch, designing a recyclable laundry bag that captures microfibres released during washing cycles before they enter waterways and oceans.

Sveder Wenning, a member of the PlastiCatch team, had the honour of sounding the Gong to open the trading day.

The guests were welcomed by Anna Heijting, Legal Counsel, and Tosca Groot, Business Development Manager at Euronext Amsterdam.
