Abdelhamid Idrissi. the winner of 2018, sounds the gong.With the annual presentation the Amsterdam foundation aims to promote the interconnectedness of the Amsterdammers; to place spotless activities, which usually remain unexposed, into the spotlight.

Since 2005 the election of the Amsterdammer of the Year has been organized and focuses on the whole of Amsterdam. The stories of the finalists, which are widely distributed through various media, inspire and motivate to unselfishly commit to another.
