ABN AMRO celebrates 40-year anniversary AEX Index

This year we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the AEX Index. This best-known index of the Netherlands was established in 1983, and at that time consisted of 13 "Founding Fathers”. The Founding Fathers were 13 leading Dutch companies that, one by one, made a significant contribution to the Dutch Economy. ABN AMRO was one of these companies and held a crucial role in this. 

To celebrate that role, John Heijning, Head of Investor Relations, sounded the gong today. The group was welcomed by René van Vlerken, Head Primary Markets the Netherlands & Germany CEE, Euronext Amsterdam.
