Ready to take on a key role in Europe’s leading power market?
At Nord Pool, you will work at the very core of European energy trading — in a role where you ensure smooth daily operations while also driving improvements that shape the future of the market.
We are now looking for a Clearing Operations Manager who enjoys responsibility, thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to Europe’s green transition.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to combine analytical work, stakeholder interaction and project involvement in an international organisation with high ambitions and a clear societal purpose.
About the role
You will play a central role in the Clearing team, balancing operational responsibilities with process development and project work. The position offers great variety and close collaboration with colleagues across the organisation — particularly within Risk, Markets and towards our members.
Your contribution will be key in ensuring robust financial operations while helping Nord Pool continue its journey to become the preferred marketplace for European power trading.
What will you do?
You will take on two primary roles, encompassing a balanced mix of operational and project-based tasks:
- Monitor daily clearing and settlement, including member collateral, working closely with the Risk Team.
- Take part in team rotations, supervising processes and supporting members.
- Provide excellent support and present Nord Pool Clearing to prospective members via phone and email.
- Drive process improvements and lead projects, contributing to team priorities as needed.
Who are we looking for?
- You hold a degree in finance, economics or a related field.
- You have professional experience within finance, audit or similar areas.
We believe you will thrive in this role if you are a proactive and flexible professional who work in a structured and detail-oriented way, ensuring accuracy even when deadlines are tight.
You are service-minded and solution-oriented, motivated by supporting stakeholders and finding practical ways to improve processes. At the same time, you are a true team player who collaborates well across teams and borders, while also being comfortable working independently when needed.
You feel confident communicating in English, both written and spoken.
Location: Lilleakerveien 2A
Application deadline: 6 April
Questions: Dag-Erik Eriksen, Line Manager, dag-erik.eriksen@nordpoolgroup.com or Kjersti Blair, HR, khblair@euronext.com

Want to make a real impact in European power trading?
Why join Nord Pool?
Ever wondered what it is like to help shape the future of Europe’s power trading? At Nord Pool, you will be part of a pioneering company at the centre of the energy transition, developing advanced systems that make energy markets fairer and greener. You will work with cutting-edge technology alongside a dynamic, international team - with colleagues from 26 different nationalities bringing perspectives from all over the world. On top of making a real impact, you will enjoy a competitive bonus scheme, flexible hours, hybrid work options, travel insurance, gym membership and regular team events - all designed to support your wellbeing and help you feel part of something special.
What is the role about?
As a software developer, you will help build, maintain, and evolve our trading platforms, working primarily in C#/.NET. The systems you’ll work on are time-sensitive and handle significant data volumes, supporting critical business workflows.
You’ll be involved in developing microservices, integrating with message buses, and exposing REST APIs, with a strong focus on clean design, reliability, and scalability. You’ll work in agile teams using modern CI/CD practices, contributing to systems that run in production every day. There is plenty of room for creativity and innovation, particularly around improving system behaviour, resilience, and overall architecture, and you’ll be encouraged to keep learning.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for collaborative developers with solid experience in C#/.NET and SQL, who enjoy working on distributed systems and understanding how software behaves in production. You’re comfortable working with asynchronous flows, messaging, and service-to-service communication, and you value readable, maintainable code.
Experience with cloud services and message-based architectures is important. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, or Angular is a bonus. Most importantly, you’re fluent in English, curious about how systems work, and genuinely passionate about programming.
What can you expect?
Nord Pool offers a diverse and inclusive workplace, with opportunities to grow and a good work-life balance. You will enjoy a competitive salary and be part of a culture that values reliability and transparency.
