Why Nord Pool?

We are continuously looking for people who are ambitious, forward leaning and committed to providing our customers the best possible service regardless of function or role.

We live our values every day; together with integrity towards excellence. Our organization is flat and decision making close to the customer.  We simplify the complexity in power trading for our customers by using our expertise in understanding the markets and their regulations.

Your colleagues at Nord Pool love to try out and learn new things everyday. Continuous learning and personal growth is key to our success now and in the future.

Are you in love with detailed data and well-functioning electricity markets? Nord Pool’s Market Surveillance is looking for a new analyst!

Nord Pool Market Surveillance works continuously on analyzing trading data from the whole of Europe – with the aim of uncovering potential market manipulation and insider trading. We are looking for you who loves good data and good, well-functioning electricity markets.

Every hour, every day, society uses electricity. We melt aluminum, charge our electric cars, heat our homes, cook and listen to music. At the same time, enough water must flow through hydroelectric plants, enough wind must blow, and enough sun must shine to cover consumption. We in Nord Pool help to ensure that it is always the cheapest energy sources that cover consumption, and at what price the market clears.

Uncovering market manipulation and insider trading in such markets has several aspects – everything from understanding how different market design may give rise to market manipulation, to designing and programming algorithms to uncover manipulation.

As a Market Surveillance Analyst at Nord Pool, you will become part of a skillful team of four people (five with you), where we collaborate closely, but to a large extent decide how we work. If we are successful in our role, we are contributing to society using electricity the best way possible – and facilitate a rapid and efficient climate transition throughout Europe!
