As an Operator Continuous Markets, you will be the bridge between the customer and the technology. You are responsible for contributing to the day-to-day operations of the power market including market coupling and technological development of the market platform and its products and services.
Your responsibilities:
Manage daily and weekend operational routines for the Continuous power market in Europe.
Secure continuous improvement of business processes to meet customer expectations and to secure robust operations in complex tech environment.
Technical support of trading and market coupling systems including testing of relevant operational and customer facing platforms.
Contribute to the development of Nord Pool’s trading platforms and product offering
Deliver excellent customer service during day-to-day operations.
Participate in Nord Pool’s development projects across the European power markets.
Be part of our 24/7 rotational duty arrangements related to operations of the European power market including weekend and night shifts on duty obligations.
Your profile:
Higher education in IT, engineering, energy or economics.
Experience using IT tools such as Grafana for monitoring and support.
Experience working in operations dependent on complex IT infrastructure.
Basic understanding of Azure Cloud Technology, Apache Kafka and MQ is an advantage.
Understanding of software development cycle and Agile methodology.
Interest in technology and how it can improve business processes and customer service.
Knowledge of the power market is an advantage but not a requirement if you have an interest to learn.
Excellent English skills and fluency in at least one Scandinavian language.

Market Place Assistant (Student worker/Part time)
Are you ready to help shape the future of the Nordic Power Derivatives market? Nord Pool is the leading exchange for Nordic power derivatives, and we are looking for a Market Place Assistant to join our team, focusing on the Euronext Power Futures offering. This is a hands-on, operative part-time role for someone who wants to gain practical experience from inside a real trading environment and help build a robust, transparent marketplace.
About the job:

Key Responsibilities:
Assist existing Exchange Desk team on the following:
- End of day routines (Price management, End of day analyses etc.)
- Operating the marketplace and contributing to making the marketplace operate efficiently daily
- Continuous improvement in operational efficiencies and tools to enhance the day-to-day operational activities
- Cooperate with other departments to assure excellent customer service
- Building knowledge about how our trading systems work and assist in verification processes.
- Ownership of recurring reporting and analysis tasks, with room to help shape how these evolve over time

The ideal candidate will be a student with at least two years remaining of their studies, focusing on economy, finance, energy or similar subjects.

System Specialist – Market Integration
Nord Pool Group is looking for a curious, hands-on System Specialist to join our Market Integration Development team, enabling the expansion of European electricity markets into new areas.
Would you like to work at the very core of European power market development?
In this role, you will help build, configure, test, and evolve the systems that make cross-border electricity trading and market coupling possible across Europe. You will work where energy market design meets complex, business-critical IT systems.
You will join a highly international and collaborative environment, working with colleagues from many different countries as well as external partners such as market operators and transmission system operators across Europe. What you will do
As part of an agile Scrum team, you will work hands-on with configuring, implementing, testing, and improving Nord Pool’s Market Coupling Systems.
