Why Nord Pool?
We are continuously looking for people who are ambitious, forward leaning and committed to providing our customers the best possible service regardless of function or role.
We live our values every day; together with integrity towards excellence. Our organization is flat and decision making close to the customer. We simplify the complexity in power trading for our customers by using our expertise in understanding the markets and their regulations.
Your colleagues at Nord Pool love to try out and learn new things everyday. Continuous learning and personal growth is key to our success now and in the future.
Nord Pool operates Europe’s power markets across multiple countries, enabling secure trading, clearing and settlement for energy producers and consumers. Unlike many exchanges, we run our Clearing and Settlement in-house — giving us direct control over mission-critical financial infrastructure.
We are now looking for a Product Manager to lead the evolution of our Post Trade domain: Clearing, Settlement, Payments, Invoicing and Customer banking Onboarding.
This is a high-impact role owning systems that move real money, serve international trading firms, and underpin European energy markets.
You will report to the Head of Products and work closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance and Business Development.
Your Mission:
Own the end-to-end product strategy for Post-Trade
Drive system modernisation across Clearing, Settlement and Payments
Improve customer onboarding and operational efficiency
Translate business and regulatory requirements into product roadmaps
Partner with Engineering Leads on architecture and delivery
Manage product pricing and cost awareness
Explore Open Banking and real-time payments as enablers for next-generation exchange services
Act as Product lead for a mission-critical part of Nord Pool’s infrastructure
What success looks like
Within 12–18 months:
Faster, simpler onboarding for customers
Modernised settlement workflows
Clear product roadmap delivering measurable operational improvements
Early adoption of Open Banking or similar technologies
Strong alignment between Product, Engineering and Operations
What we’re looking for

Clearing & Settlement experience
Open Banking / PSD2
Energy trading or market infrastructure
Why join Nord Pool
Own core financial infrastructure used across Europe
Real product authority — not a feature factory
Small teams, direct access to leadership
Opportunity to influence how energy markets operate
Stable company with meaningful societal impact
Anything else?
At Nord Pool we value our culture and strive toward creativity so, above all else, we look for like-minded professionals who are passionate, driven and creative yet possess enough humility to be a delight to work with.
This role will work closely with Nord Pool’s Head of Products and Chief Strategy Officer.
The position will be filled as soon as the right candidate is found.
Want to make a real impact in European power trading?
Why join Nord Pool?
Ever wondered what it is like to help shape the future of Europe’s power trading? At Nord Pool, you will be part of a pioneering company at the centre of the energy transition, developing advanced systems that make energy markets fairer and greener. You will work with cutting-edge technology alongside a dynamic, international team - with colleagues from 26 different nationalities bringing perspectives from all over the world. On top of making a real impact, you will enjoy a competitive bonus scheme, flexible hours, hybrid work options, travel insurance, gym membership and regular team events - all designed to support your wellbeing and help you feel part of something special.
What is the role about?
As a software developer, you will help build, maintain, and evolve our trading platforms, working primarily in C#/.NET. The systems you’ll work on are time-sensitive and handle significant data volumes, supporting critical business workflows.
You’ll be involved in developing microservices, integrating with message buses, and exposing REST APIs, with a strong focus on clean design, reliability, and scalability. You’ll work in agile teams using modern CI/CD practices, contributing to systems that run in production every day. There is plenty of room for creativity and innovation, particularly around improving system behaviour, resilience, and overall architecture, and you’ll be encouraged to keep learning.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for collaborative developers with solid experience in C#/.NET and SQL, who enjoy working on distributed systems and understanding how software behaves in production. You’re comfortable working with asynchronous flows, messaging, and service-to-service communication, and you value readable, maintainable code.
Experience with cloud services and message-based architectures is important. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, or Angular is a bonus. Most importantly, you’re fluent in English, curious about how systems work, and genuinely passionate about programming.
What can you expect?
Nord Pool offers a diverse and inclusive workplace, with opportunities to grow and a good work-life balance. You will enjoy a competitive salary and be part of a culture that values reliability and transparency.
