Are you ready to help shaping the future of the Nordic Power Trading market? We are looking for an Exchange Desk Analyst to join the Nord Pool team, focusing on the Euronext Power Futures offering. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to understand how energy markets work from the inside and contribute to building a robust and transparent trading environment.

Euronext Nord Pool Power Futures is designed to meet the demand for a sustainable and enduring market infrastructure, committed to fostering secure power futures trading across the Nordic and Baltic regions. Key Features:
Liquidity and Commitment: Euronext and Nord Pool aim to revitalise liquidity in Nordic power derivatives, attracting over-the-counter (OTC) traded volumes and reducing uncertainty. The market will be operated by a business with a clear commitment and vision for the future.
Trading and Clearing: The market will offer trading of cash-settled futures for all maturities on System Price and Electricity Price Area Differentials (EPADs) across the Nordics and Baltics.

Key Responsibilities
- Operating the marketplace and contributing to making the marketplace operate efficiently daily and comply with our exchange requirements.
- Operate Exchange desk core tasks, such as order management, trade registration and assistance with trade cancellation.
- Together with other members of the Exchange Desk team, be in regular contact with market participants contributing to the liquidity of the Power derivative market and ensure awareness of the activity on the order book.
- Focus on establishing good relations and serving our members.
- Building knowledge about how our trading systems work and assist in verification processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in operational efficiencies and tools to enhance the day-to-day operational activities, evaluating and selecting improvement opportunities that provide long-term value and minimize operational risks, secure an orderly market.
- Provide technical information to market participants, such as new product details or graphic user interface usage for all relevant trading and clearing front ends.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Operations, EMS, Sales and Product/Business development.

- University degree or equivalent experience in business administration, economics, engineering or similar,

Nord Pool Strategic Services team is responsible for several business areas:
- Services to power exchanges in Europe

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a colleague with a strong ambition to grow and a wish to become an ambassador for the European electricity market model while supporting Nord Pool’s serviced markets business.
You will be part of Nord Pool’s multinational team delivering exciting assignments where you will have the chance to facilitate electricity market developments in different countries in Europe and contributing in sharing market expertise for regions where Nord Pool assists with market development.
Nord Pool is at the heart of power market development in Europe. In parallel of operating its own markets across 15+ countries, Nord Pool delivers platforms and services to five power exchanges in Europe (Iceland, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Georgia) and expect to further grow in the coming years. We aim to provide best-in-class solutions and service to our clients (local power exchanges), helping them prosper. Nord Pool also support numerous other emerging power markets outside Europe with market development assistance covering market design, market rules, governing set-up of electricity markets including requirements for market platforms and organisation of daily operations.
This role will report to Joni Ärmänen, Manager Serviced Markets
Main Tasks
- Assume responsibility for regular communication with existing customers, following up on projects and maintaining relationships.
- Manage various change requests from existing customers.
- Together with other team members work with new delivery projects, when possible taking responsibility as project /deputy project manager.
- Present electricity market topics for various audiences in projects, conferences, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with other Nord Pool departments such as legal, operations, product development, finance and communications during project preparation, execution and operational phases.
- Prepare deliverables including, but not limited to, meeting minutes, reports, presentations and training materials.
- Attend relevant international conferences with the aim to promote Nord Pool, maintain stakeholder relations and build new relationships.
- Prepare technical and financial proposals for existing customers or new tenders and negotiate commercials terms.
- Keep track of contracts, negotiate contract terms and draft contract documents.
Other tasks
- The role also includes tasks such as managing invoicing for project and service deliveries, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Support other Nord Pool Strategic Services teams with marked development and knowledge sharing activities for regions outside of Europe.
Qualifications & experience

Your Tasks…
will be centered around growing Nord Pool’s presence in Western and Central (WCE) Europe, with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe.

- Establish and expand a strong network with energy industry stakeholders, including customers, TSOs/DSOs, regulators and other public bodies
- Represent and promote Nord Pool in external forums, trade fairs and conferences
