About the role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to our activities on Business Continuity Management.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in risk management, business resilience and crisis response within a fast-paced, international financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the BCM team in maintaining and updating Euronext’s business continuity plans (BCPs), ensuring they reflect current business processes, regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Assist in conducting and documenting business impact analyses (BIA) to identify critical business functions, dependencies and recovery priorities.
  • Participate in risk assessments to evaluate potential threats and vulnerabilities that could impact business operations.
  • Help organise and facilitate business continuity exercises and simulations, such as tabletop exercises, scenario-based drills and crisis management workshops. Assist in capturing lessons learned and following up on action items.
  • Contribute to the development and review of incident response procedures, escalation protocols and crisis communication plans.
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on key business continuity metrics, such as recovery time objectives (RTOs), recovery point objectives (RPOs) and test results.
  • Support the team in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g. ISO 22301, DORA, local regulatory requirements).
  • Help maintain BCM documentation and records, including plan updates, test schedules, training materials and audit evidence.
  • Assist in preparing reports, dashboards and presentations for senior management, auditors and other stakeholders.
  • Support the coordination of BCM awareness and training sessions for staff across Euronext locations.

What we are looking for

  • Currently studying for or recently completed a degree in business, risk management, finance, information security or a related field.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multicultural team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Interest in financial markets, risk management or operational resilience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) Good Practice Guidelines is considered a plus.

What we offer

  • Practical experience in business continuity and risk management within a leading European financial institution.
  • Exposure to a wide range of business functions and international stakeholders.
  • Supportive team environment and mentoring from experienced professionals.
  • Opportunity to develop professional skills and knowledge in a dynamic sector.

If you are interested in developing your career in business continuity, we encourage you to apply.
