Join us as a Settlement Analyst Trainee

Euronext Securities Porto is improving and enhancing its services, particularly regarding the Settlement Systems. We are seeking a Settlement Trainee to support the business operations team with daily tasks, especially those related to the settlement team. In addition, you will contribute to the development and implementation of several ongoing activities, projects and initiatives, such as TARGET2-Securities (T2S) Releases, Euronext CSDs Convergence and European Expansion.

Key Accountabilities

As a Settlement Trainee you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the business operations team with daily tasks, including monitoring settlement systems and performing activities related to settlement discipline (such as settlement fails and penalties).
  • Conducting tests on Euronext Securities Porto systems and updating documentation as required.
  • Performing static data setup for securities and cash accounts.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of ongoing activities, projects and initiatives, including T2S Releases, Euronext CSDs Convergence and European Expansion.
  • Providing support to Euronext Securities Porto participants.
  • Supporting other business operational areas as needed.

Profile and Skills

  • Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Management, Economics, or related field.
  • Knowledge of capital markets and applicable legislation.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient with standard office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Responsible, organized and accurate, with strong communication skills.
  • Team player with a customer-focused and task-oriented approach.
  • Eligible for an IEFP Level VI Internship.

You will primarily be responsible for:

  • Contributing to monitoring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and directives (such as CSDR)

Your profile:

Join us as a Service Delivery Tax Trainee (IEFP)

As a Service Delivery Tax Trainee, you will play a key role in managing daily and recurring tax operation tasks for Oslo (ES-OSL) and Copenhagen (ES-CPH), contributing to the sustainable development of services and applications based on client and regulatory input.

Key Accountabilities

As a Service Delivery Tax Trainee, you will:

  • Participate in supporting clients in the tax reclaim area according to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Assist Client Services in responding to client customer inquiries in the use of tax products and services (e.g. tax reclaim).
  • Contribute to securing the tax operations in ES-OSL and ES-CPH systems, including the resolution of any instability when it occurs.
  • Provide input to ensure ES-OSL and ES-CPH products are developed in line with changes and expectations in the market, by highlighting improvements, changes and any instability in products and services to the relevant Product Owner and Product Manager.
  • Participate in the development of future products and services by assisting development teams as needed, such as giving input for requirements and conducting tests.
  • Support the automation and streamlining of internal processes.
  • Carry out operations and customer assignments in the field of expertise within current procedures and instructions.
  • Escalate customer requests and errors that cannot be resolved to the relevant Product Owner, Product Manager or Head of Nordic Safekeeping Operations, or that are not handled according to the relevant SLA.
  • Escalate issues that pose significant risks to daily operations or key issues that are not prioritized within the teams to the head of department.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • Solid understanding of general principles of taxation.
  • Experience with different areas of tax processing is a benefit (such as withholding tax, tax reclaim, annual reporting).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end post-trade value chain.
  • Understanding of the customer processes and needs within the relevant business area.
  • Familiarity with the overall ENX Securities product portfolio and corresponding services and applications.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills (written/oral).
  • Minimum of 3 years of higher education (extensive work experience may compensate for lack of education).
  • Fluent in English.
  • Eligible for an IEFP Level VI Internship.

As a QA tester you will work within the Copenhagen QA team allocated to Euronext Securities on going projects.

You will collaborate with test managers, project managers and development teams to design and support quality assurance and testing activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Key activities

  • Define and support the integration test approach for the projects.
  • Estimate, prioritise and execute testing activities.
  • Provide clear, accurate and regular reporting through KPIs related to test plan implementation and the automation strategy.
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
  • Partner with other QA team members to align common tools and approaches for testing and automation.
  • Work with development and infrastructure teams to implement a CI/CD strategy that incorporates test by design and embedded automated tests.
  • Define and provide technical guidance and best practices for software development teams and business operations teams.
  • Contribute to the definition, implementation and monitoring of company quality standards, including synchronisation with other quality assurance units.
  • Monitor and manage risks associated with the test plan and contribute to risk identification.
     

Required skills and experience

  • At least five years’ experience in software testing.
  • Proficiency in QA methodology and testing processes.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies.
  • Experience in implementing automated tests.
  • Experience with tools such as Git, Java, Cucumber, Playwright, JMeter, PostgreSQL and Xray.
  • Previous experience in software testing processes integrated with CI/CD tools.
  • Good organisational skills, autonomy, proactivity, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Deliverables

  • Test plans aligned with the defined scope
  • Manual and automated tests planned for each development sprint and executed successfully.
  • Functional tests executed successfully.
  • Testing reports covering all QA and testing metrics defined for each type of test.

The Executive Account Manager Intern is responsible for a range of activities designed to achieve a high service level and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

In particular the person in this role will be in charge to:

  • Support the main Executive Account Managers in acting as unique operational contact entry point for all their assigned clients (Tier 1 & 2 Custodian Banks);
  • Manage all clients queries related Settlement and Custody topics on an effective way and within the agreed deadlines defined in the SLA;
  • Address all queries related topics not covered by the team to the right internal departments making sure that a proper answer is provided to the clients within the agreed deadlines defined in the SLA;
  • Track all queries received from the clients and the answers provided to them through our ticketing tool;
  • Analyze on a weekly/monthly basis the statistics related the queries received from the clients in order to find possible trends and/or improvements to be carried out to optimize the relationship with the clients;
  • Prepare all the necessary documentation to support the Relationship Managers in the Service Reviews that will be conducted during the years with the clients;
