Job Summary

The Junior General Ledger accounting and tax officer is responsible for the standard day-to-day local general ledger accounting responsibilities as well as monthly, quarterly and yearly activities, such as tax reporting/filings, regulatory and statutory reporting for assigned entities. The Junior General Ledger accounting and tax officer will also actively lead and coordinate business explanation and investigations of financial data (both internally and externally (auditors, tax audits etc), pro-actively identify and work on continuous process improvement in the local environment, monitoring and applying internal control procedures and manage input from other departments – corporate secretary, treasury and tax, shared service centre, legal and consolidation.

Key Accountabilities

Direct tasks that the Junior General Ledger accountant & tax officer will be responsible for, but not only, are:

  • Processing automated entries from sub ledgers or external systems
  • Processing of un automated entries
  • Generating intercompany transactions and related documentation
  • Preparation of monthly corporate tax provision and tax proofs
  • Completing period end accounting entries and aggregate financial results
  • Providing information to auditors, tax authorities and regulators
  • Reconciliation, and documentation of accounts, including intercompany positions
  • Creating and assessing period end entries
  • Assuring accuracy, timeliness and completeness of entries
  • Liaising with legal, corporate secretary, tax and treasury for completeness
  • International standardization of process
  • Reporting in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP (if needed)
  • Preparation and filing of monthly VAT returns
  • Preparation and filing of annual corporate income tax returns
  • Preparation of others local tax and regulatory statements
  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annuals reports of the entities
  • Monitoring of regulatory requirements of entities

Major Duty/Responsibility

  • Record and Process General Accounting transactions
  • Perform intercompany accounting
  • Analyse and reconcile accounts
  • Close books and aggregate financial results
  • Perform Financial Reporting
  • Perform Tax/Statutory/Regulatory Reporting
  • Other General Accounting related activities  

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in General Ledger activities
  • Hands-on experience with a world-class ERP system—MS AX 2002/365 a plus

Knowledge & skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to successfully manage several tasks at once and work in a deadline driven atmosphere.
  • Familiarity with common software packages such as Microsoft Excel, Word, AX 2002/365 ERP etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with methods, practices and terminology used in complex financial clerical work including strong knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Profound knowledge with company’s and external accounting standards and guidelines
  • High analytical and conceptual skills
  • Proficient in english, written and spoken; other languages  a plus

Problem solving & customer service

  • Possesses a “service first” attitude. 
  • Completes work assignments and resolves recurring problems according to standard policies and procedures. 
  • Uses common sense and initiative in applying policies, procedures and common practices to non-recurring issues.
  • Provides assistance to peers and other internal parties to resolve other problems.
  • Ability to identify, develop and recommend best practices and improvement opportunities.  
  • Follows through on assignments to successful completion.

Communication

  • Prepares routine correspondence when necessary.
  • Understands the importance of keeping all necessary parties informed. 

Education

  • Higher accounting degree or qualified education in finance according to local education system

  • Oprette, godkende og kontrollere indkøbsrekvisitioner ift. vores indkøbspolitikker

  • Hjælpe med at sende indkøbsordrer til leverandører, samt sende formularer ud til nye leverandører der skal oprettes i AX Dynamics

  • Løse eventuelle tekniske udfordringer i systemet

  • Samarbejde med Finans omkring godkendelser og betalinger af fakturaer

  • Træne nye medarbejdere i AX Dynamics

Student Assistant for Procurement

Become part of an international team and help shape our Procurement

In Procurement, you will be part of a small team with colleagues in Portugal, France, Italy, England and Denmark. Your primary contact is in Denmark, but you will be a natural part of the whole team and participate in joint meetings. We are looking for a student assistant to help support our Danish and Norwegian colleagues, as well as be our daily support in Microsoft AX Dynamics (ERM system). We make sure that you get a thorough training in the system, so you can become our go-to person and can easily guide colleagues in the organization when purchase orders need to be created, if questions arise or they need assitance. As you progress, there will be an opportunity to gain more responsibility and get involved in more challenging tasks – and of course we are there to help you. At the same time, we hope that you will help optimize our processes and ensure that we follow the procurement procedure and comply with our policies.

What will your workday look like?

In Procurement, we work across countries and companies. Your working days will therefore offer a mix of regular and varying tasks, such as:

  • Creating, approving, and verifying purchase requisitions against our purchasing policies

  • Help sending purchase orders to vendors, as well as sending forms to new vendors so they can be created in AX Dynamics

  • Solving any technical challenges in the system

  • Cooperating with Finance on approvals and payments of invoices

  • Training new employees in AX Dynamics

  • Helping with on-boarding of consultants

  • Ad hoc tasks

The ideal candidate...

You as a person thrive in dialogue with others, and stepping in to help wherever there is a need comes naturally to you. You're known for providing great customer service, and you're someone that others like to work with. In terms of tasks, you are characterised by working systematically, having an eye for detail, as well as taking initiative and responsibility. Last but not least, you handle your tasks independently, but are not afraid to ask if you have any questions.

In addition, it is an advantage if you:

  • Have experience med Microsoft Dynamics (D365) ERM system (not a requirement)

  • Have and interest in procurement, negotiation, sourcing and contract work

  • Want to learn something new, are motivated and organised

  • Have technical understanding and are good at problem solving

  • Communicate with ease in both writing and speech (Danish and English). If you understand Norwegian it is also considered an advantage.

We imagine that you will work around 15 hours, divided into two days. During exam periods, we are of course extra flexible, and will plan your working hours together.

Interbolsa

Interbolsa is the leading entity in Portugal in post-trade services, offering integrated and flexible solutions at European level, operating as the Custody and Settlement Central Securities Depository (CSD), belonging to the EURONEXT Group and being compliant with:

Collaboration across the entire business

You will be part of a small Data Team who develop and maintain the data warehouse platform and you will work closely with a product owner and a data scientist, as well as other stakeholders in business and IT.

Technologies in play

The data warehouse is build using Microsoft Technology (SQL Server, Integration Services, Cubes) with a Qlik Sense server on top for reporting and dashboards.

Skills and Qualifications

  • You may have a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, but that is not as important as your experience with BI development;

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and the Microsoft BI stack is required;

  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and services – e.g. Microsoft Azure and Databricks – and an interest in driving the discussion on when and how cloud services should be used;

  • Ability to work independently, while also being a team player;

  • Fluent in English for reading, writing, and speaking.

Your position will be in Milan, at Euronext Securities Milan and you will have the opportunity to work with Euronext Securities Copenhagen and Oslo.

In a nutshell, you will have complete involvement in the data life cycle, by owning the responsibility of designing, coding, training, testing, maintaining and supporting data warehouse solutions, data lake processes and AI models that are delivered to our customers. 

You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to Euronext Securities data team by participation in Scrum Agile Sprint  and by making continuous improvement recommendations towards the research of new models or reuse of existing one.

Additional activities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations. You will be responsible for implementation of large-scale data solutions across multiple business lines.
