Join Euronext Market Services (EMS) as a Market Surveillance Apprentice within the Cash Market Operations team in Paris. EMS is the front line in ensuring fair and orderly markets across Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon, Dublin, Oslo and Paris, with operational centres in Amsterdam and Paris. In this role, you will help safeguard the integrity, transparency and smooth operation of trading activities on Euronext’s financial markets.

Market Surveillance Officers are spread across Amsterdam and Paris, and are cross-trained on Cash & Derivatives.


You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Monitor all trading activities across Euronext financial markets (equities, bonds, derivatives, etc.) in real-time to identify potential market abuse, manipulation, or violations of trading rules. 

  • Analyze market anomalies, price fluctuations, trading volumes, and other key indicators to detect risks of malfunction or non-compliance with market rules. 

  • Review activity reports and alerts generated by surveillance systems, performing in-depth investigations to understand the underlying causes of incidents or irregularities.

  • Perform all necessary functional checks throughout the day to ensure a smooth running of the market.

  • Collaborate with compliance teams and external regulators to investigate potential breaches of market rules and assist in implementing corrective actions. 

  • Prepare detailed reports on detected incidents, provide recommendations for improving surveillance processes, and contribute to periodic regulatory reports.

  • Stay up to date with the latest financial regulations and standards (e.g., MiFID II, MAR) and ensure surveillance practices are aligned with regulatory changes. 

  • Continuously look to improve & optimize our processes and various operational activities to increase the effectiveness and value we deliver to clients. 

Your profile

 

  • Master’s level student in finance, engineering or a related field (such as Grandes Ecoles)

  • A first experience in finance is appreciated

About the Position

We are looking for a Communications intern in Amsterdam, reporting to the Communications Manager for the Benelux region. As an intern in the Media Team, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of financial communications. About the Department

The Communications and Investor Relations team at Euronext operates across Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon, Milan, Oslo, and Paris. We play a vital role in shaping how the media and other stakeholders perceive Euronext, organising all external events, and managing relationships with investors and analysts.

Our team is composed of talented individuals specialising in various areas, including media relations, event management, investor relations, employee engagement, social media communication, and brand & content management. Additionally, our Editorial Review team ensures that all internal and external communications in English are polished and ready for distribution.

The Media Relations team is dedicated to informing the public about Euronext's mission, policies, and practices in a positive and credible manner. We aim to maintain a strong public image and enhance Euronext's visibility. By developing targeted communication strategies, we effectively convey our messages to external audiences and build strong relationships with the press.  In times of crisis, our role is to protect Euronext's reputation in the media, supporting the business strategy and fostering positive perceptions among the media and the public. 6 months internship (Stage)

Euronext is looking for an intern to support the offices of the Group CEO and Euronext Paris CEO, for 6 months.

You will work directly with the Chief of Staff of the Group CEO and the Paris CEO Business Manager. You will contribute to strategic projects, be responsible for transversal internal projects of Euronext Paris and produce insights for both CEOs, leveraging the talent and expertise across the entire Euronext organisation.

This internship is a unique opportunity to get involved in a variety of strategic initiatives with direct impact on the growth and development of the company, while achieving concrete impact on the organization through hands-on projects.

You will get a multidimensional exposure to the ecosystem surrounding financial markets (issuers, French Tech companies, financial institutions, high-frequency traders, regulators) and a better understanding of the inner workings of an ambitious, growing pan-European company across functions (Sales, Strategy, M&A, HR, Marketing, Communications).

During your internship, you will focus on the following missions:

1/ Support and empower the Group CEO and French CEO in their daily activities

  • Draft concise, fact-based briefing notes, background papers, and presentations for press interviews, client meetings, negotiations, and external conferences, in coordination with relevant experts and business lines.

  • Contribute to the preparation and coordination of key corporate events such as the Euronext Annual Conference and Bell Ceremonies.

  • Monitor and track progress on strategic projects or ad hoc initiatives: organize and attend meetings with stakeholders, prepare minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items.

  • For the Group CEO, contribute to the development of the strategic plan through prospective research and by monitoring related internal projects and initiatives.

2/ Manage internal projects related to the Paris Office

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Senior Compliance Officer to join our Compliance team in a temporary position. In this role, you will help ensure that our business remains fully compliant with regulatory requirements and obligations, primarily under MIFID II, MAR, the Norwegian Securities Trading Act and Regulations and other local Norwegian legislation, while supporting the organization in maintaining a strong and mature compliance culture.

Your main responsibilities

  • Compliance risk management: Execute, monitor, and update compliance risk assessments, policies, and procedures in line with applicable regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic compliance reviews and related activities to ensure ongoing adherence.
  • Controls and reviews: Perform compliance controls and thematic reviews, ensuring timely follow-up and enforcement of recommended actions to mitigate risks.
  • Advisory support: Provide expert guidance to business units on compliance matters, particularly related to Euronext Oslo Børs activities, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Operational and strategic compliance: Manage operational and strategic compliance initiatives in accordance with compliance frameworks, plans, and policies.

The Salmon Trading Lead will play a key role in driving our salmon trading operations, working closely with other members of the exchange desk while helping expand the reach and impact of our growing salmon franchise.

Key Accountabilities

The Salmon Trading Lead be a critical member of the Salmon Exchange Desk:

  • Reach-out to, educate and onboard current and prospect salmon market participants

  • Imagine trading and hedging strategies that are palatable to the salmon industry, and then present them to several market participants to develop their activity.

  • Enter, amend or cancel orders in Euronext trading platform Optiq® on behalf of trading members.

  • Register off-order book (wholesale) trades in Optiq on behalf of trading members

  • Support the liquidity of the salmon derivatives market, with constant contacts with potential market participants

  • The Salmon Trading Lead will also participate to commercial activities within and outside Norway: on-site client visits, attending trade conferences

Candidate qualifications

About the position
