10-year anniversary of DEGIRO

DEGIRO is an online broker that offers an online investment platform. Through this platform, clients can trade globally. DEGIRO begin in 2008 as an institutional broker for professional investors. In September 2013, DEGIRO launched its online brokerage services for retail clients in the Netherlands. As a result, DEGIRO has become one of the largest brokers in Europe.

Today Frank Niehage, CEO of flatex DEGIRO AG, sounded the Gong to mark the 10^th anniversary of the online brokerage launch.

He and his team were welcomed by Simone Huis in ‘t Veld, CEO at Euronext Amsterdam, and Dirk Donker, Head of Financial Derivatives at Euronext Amsterdam.

Dufas enters partnership with BeleggerUitlegger

Dufas is a Dutch industry association for asset managers aiming to raise awareness of the social relevance of investing. As young people are an important target group for the association,

Dufas entered into a partnership with BeleggerUitlegger and Scholenstrijd. 

To celebrate this collaboration, the Dufas team was welcomed with a number of young people from their target group.

CSR Manager of the Year 2023

Andy van den Dobbelsteen, Sustainability Coordinator at the TU delft, has been named as 2023 CSR Manager of the Year and sounded the gong for this occasion.

The CSR Manager of the Year election has been organised since 2012. The purpose of the election is to provide additional recognition of the efforts and results of enthusiastic CSR managers.

The group was welcomed by Albert Siepel, Head of Index Governance, Regulation and Innovation at Euronext Amsterdam.

Morningstar Sustainable Investing Summit 2023

Starting tomorrow, the annual Morningstar Sustainable Investing Summit will take place in Amsterdam.

During this conference, professionals from the financial sector will gather to learn about strategies, methods and tools that they need to build a long-term sustainable financial success.

A representation from Morningstar gathered at Beursplein 5 to celebrate the kick-off of this event. Ron Bundy, President of Morningstar Sustainalytics & Morningstar Indexes sounded the Gong.

ABN AMRO Clearing Global Graduate Programme

Every year, ABN AMRO Clearing organises a Global Graduate Programme. During this 1-year programme, young employees get the chance to work at different international locations of ABN AMRO Clearing. This enables them to get to know the company better and start a position within Clearing after this year. The graduates came together and sounded the Gong.

Listing of QEV Technologies

Joan Orús, CEO of QEV Technologies, sounded the Gong this morning on the occasion of the listing of the company. QEV Technologies, the European manufacturer of electric vehicles for corporate fleet and public transport clients, listed through the legal merger with the Special Purpose Acquisition Company SPEAR Investments I.

They were welcomed by René van Vlerken (Head of Listing Euronext Amsterdam) and Susana de Antonio (Head of Listing Euronext Spain).

Winner of the School Competition 2023

Today, Rijnlands Lyceum from Sassenheim was welcomed for the second time for being the winner of the School Competition. During this competition, thousands of secondary school students take part in a digital investment competition. This competition is an initiative of Stichting Capital Amsterdam and is a biannual event that is part of the broader education platform BeleggerUitlegger.

One of the winning students was therefore given the honour of ringing the Gong today.

APG invests in listed property for 25 years

It has been 25 years since APG first invested in listed real estate. The global pension administration organisation saw their investments in logistics real estate, particularly distribution centres, double to 20 per cent in recent years.

To celebrate the anniversary, Rutger van der Lubbe, Head of Global Real Estate Investment Strategy at APG, rang the Gong this morning.

Celebrating the success of the new ABN AMRO order flow application

ABN AMRO Bank has a direct link to the stock exchange for executing Dutch orders in their retail & wealth customer segments. Until the beginning of this year, they returned their order flow directly to Euronext through an in-house developed application. This year, the system was replaced which was seen as an open-heart operation within ABN AMRO's investment landscape.

This success was celebrated by sounding the Gong by Yoeri van Schaik, Product Owner Investments at ABN AMRO Bank.

The  ABN AMRO Bank team was welcomed by Dirk Donker, Head of Financial Derivatives at Euronext Amsterdam.

Launch of Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures

Today, the new financial nature-related framework called TNFD, is launched worldwide. This is a tool for companies and financial institutions to identify and report on nature-related risks and opportunities. The ultimate goal is to ensure that global financial flows contribute more to the restoration and conservation of all our nature and biodiversity.

The Dutch TNFD consultation group including the World Wildlife Fund, Deloitte, Rabobank and the Dutch Banking Association came together for a Gong ceremony. T

Celebrating the Ahold Delhaize Green Bond

Ahold Delhaize announced earlier this year that it has successfully priced a Green Bond. This is a €500 million sustainability bond with a five-year term. The company has experience with sustainable financing - in 2019, Ahold Delhaize became the first retailer in the world to issue a sustainability bond in euros. This was followed by three more sustainable financial instruments.

To celebrate this occasion, Jan Ernst de Groot, Chief Sustainability Officer of Ahold Delhaize, sounded the Gong in the presence of the team.

Listing and first day of trading of Global InterConnection Group

Edmund Truell, Executive Chairman of Global InterConnection Group, sounded the Gong this morning to celebrate the listing of the company on Euronext Amsterdam.

Global InterConnection Group, consisting of Global InterConnection Group Limited and its subsidiaries, is a platform for the production, development, operation and ownership of interconnectors and other electricity transmission assets.

Doelbeleggen.nl wins Golden Bull Award for Best Investment Solution of the Year

Doelbeleggen.nl is the winner of the Golden Bull Award in the online investment solutions category. The expert jury chose Doelbeleggen.nl because of its unique investment account for building up and paying out supplementary pensions.

Dutch IR Awards 2023

The Dutch Association for Investor Relations (NEVIR) presented the IR Awards 2023 on Thursday, 29 June. During this event, Dutch listed companies and IR professionals who excel in Investors Relations receive this award.

Winners of these awards, such as Ahold Delhaize, Royal Vopak and Aalberts N.V., were invited to a traditional Gong ceremony at Beursplein 5.

10-year anniversary of Finance Run

The Finance Run is an annual sporting event within the financial services industry whose proceeds this year will benefit Kikid and Emma at Work. During this edition of the Finance Run, the 10th anniversary will be celebrated.

Online broker LYNX has won the Golden Bull in the "Broker of the Year" category for the fourth time. With this award, LYNX continues its reign for the second consecutive year.

1-year anniversary of the Euronext Tech Leaders

Euronext Tech Leaders is an initiative launched last year by Euronext and is dedicated to high-growth and leading technology companies. Tech leaders complements Euronext's current technology offering and aims to strengthen the European technology sector. Today, the Euronext Tech Leaders segment welcomes 15 new companies from across Europe as part of its 2023 annual review.
