Sales Director
Commcise is bringing transparency and precision to institutional investment research offering independent, cloud-based, fully-integrated commission management and research valuation solutions to the buy-side, sell-side and research providers through its COMMCISEBUY, COMMCISESELL and COMMCISECS product suite. Commcise’s clients include some of the largest institutional asset managers, hedge funds, brokers and research providers in the world.
Commcise is a collaborative FinTech company with offices in London, New York, Bangalore and Delhi. Commcise is a company of Euronext, the leading pan-European exchange in the Eurozone. The company is accelerating its growth strategy and is seeking qualified candidates to help lead the way.
The Company is seeking to hire an experienced Sales Director to lead and accelerate commercial growth across the Commcise product suite, including the imminent launch of a 4th data-benchmarking product. This is a senior, high-impact role for a strategic growth leader with a proven track record of delivering multi-million-pound revenue targets, building and mentoring high-performing sales teams, and closing complex, multi-year enterprise SaaS deals with the largest buy-side, sell-side and research-provider institutions globally. The successful candidate will own the UK/EMEA go-to-market strategy, partner directly with the CEO and executive team to shape commercial direction, and work alongside Product & Development to position the new data-driven proposition. You will set the target client strategy, craft compelling executive narratives that connect the Commcise mission to client pain points, and represent the business at the most senior levels – up to and including C-suite and Board – across top-tier asset managers, hedge funds, brokers and research providers.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver against the UK/EMEA/US revenue targets for the Commcise product suite (COMMCISEBUY, COMMCISESELL, COMMCISECS)
- Partner with senior stakeholder partners to shape and execute the commercial launch of new products, contributing to pricing strategy, revenue models, and go-to-market plans, while helping to design scalable onboarding frameworks, client enablement processes, and operating rhythms to drive successful adoption and long-term commercial performance.
- Partnering with the Head of Sales and CEO, design and execute the go-to-market strategy, including target account planning, value proposition development, pricing, marketing alignment and partner engagement for new sales regions.
- Self-generate, qualify and close complex SaaS deals with Tier 1 buy-side, sell-side and research-provider clients, typically engaging at C-suite, COO, CTO and Head-of-Desk level.
- Partner with CEO, Head of Sales and Head of Account Mgmt to coach and mentor more junior members of the sales and account management teams to ensure high-performance throughout and the exceeding of revenue targets.
- Develop and own senior-level client relationships across the largest global asset managers, hedge funds, brokers and research providers, acting as a trusted advisor and escalation point on strategic accounts.
- Structure and deliver compelling executive-level presentations, demonstrations and commercial proposals that translate technical capability into clear business outcomes for each prospect.
- Represent Commcise externally as a market SME – at industry events, roundtables, podcasts and in written thought-leadership – on topics including commission management, research valuation, data, analytics and regulatory change.
- Partner closely with Product & Development to feed market intelligence back into the roadmap, shape the positioning of the new data-driven product, and ensure commercial launch readiness.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Substantial track record (typically 15+ years) of enterprise software, SaaS or services sales in financial services, with demonstrable success closing complex six figure deals at C-suite level.
- Proven experience selling into buy-side asset managers, hedge funds, sell-side brokers and/or research providers; deep understanding of commission management, research valuation, TCA, data or related capital-markets workflows.
- Demonstrable leadership experience – scaling, coaching and managing sales, business-development and pre-sales teams, ideally in a high-growth or scale-up environment.
- Strong commercial strategy skills – able to craft and articulate value propositions, build multi-year growth plans, and translate them into disciplined go-to-market execution.
- Technical mindset, capable of articulating technical concepts and methodologies (SaaS architecture, data, analytics, AI, cloud) to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with large financial datasets to draw insightful analysis and conclusions that can be utilised by institutional clients.
- Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with confidence operating at Board, C-suite and senior-stakeholder level internally and externally.
- Strong CRM and pipeline-management discipline, with hands-on experience managing forecasts, account plans and strategic client reviews through HubSpot (or equivalent).
- Excellent presentation (Canva/PowerPoint) and written-communication skills, with demonstrable experience producing strategic, aesthetically polished and commercially compelling pitch materials and proposals.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook and modern collaboration tools.
- Resourceful, independent, self-motivated and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial scale-up environment.
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university; postgraduate qualification in a quantitative or business discipline desirable.
- Blended experience across enterprise software, managed services and/or strategic consulting within financial services.
- Experience launching a new product, proposition or business line from early stage through to scale, ideally in a data, analytics or benchmarking context.
- Existing senior network across UK/EMEA asset management, hedge-fund, brokerage, custody or research-provider communities.
- SME-level knowledge of adjacent themes such as regulatory change, ESG, digital assets, tokenisation or AI applied to capital markets.
- Experience representing a firm as a spokesperson – at industry events, on podcasts, in published thought leadership or on LinkedIn.
