Deep Blue Capital B.V. 20th anniversary

Deep Blue Capital is a highly automated trading house specializing in algorithmic trading. The gong was sounded this morning in honor of the company's 20th anniversary but also because it is one of the newest tenants at Beursplein 5.

14th edition of the LYNX Investor Debate

LYNX has offered a wide range of investment products since 2006 and is one of the largest online brokers in Europe.

DSI is committed to a trustworthy financial sector. This year, Integrity in Sustainability takes centre stage, with a focus on the important role of integrity in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Celebrating the launch of the options course ‘De Aandeelhouder Academy’

This past November marked the start of the first edition of the options course, ‘De Aandeelhouder Academy.’ This online programme, led by former options trader Vincent Vis, teaches participants everything about the options market over the course of three months, while also integrating options into their own investment strategies.

Euronext Amsterdam, the birthplace of Europe’s first options exchange, and broker Lynx proudly support this educational initiative. To celebrate the launch, the traditional gong ceremony took place this morning at Beursplein 5, where Dirk Donker, Head of Secondary Markets Benelux & Germany, welcomed the founders of De Aandeelhouder Academy.

Celebration of the Young Captain Award 2024

The Young Captain Award is an annual unique chance for new generations of leaders to stand out, push their limits, and show their originality. For over 15 years this prestigious award gives a podium to talented leaders. 

This morning, Euronext Amsterdam, welcomed the 20^th Young Captain: George Tokaya, Commercial Category Leader Beademingsmaskers & Software of Royal Philips. He started the trading day by sounding the gong to celebrate this remarkable achievement. Global CIO Heineken wins CIO of the Year Award

On Tuesday 19 November, the twentieth CIO of the Year Award was presented at CIODAY2024, the annual network event for digital decision-makers. The Award is given to Ing Yan Ong, Heineken’s Global CIO, thanks to the broad-based transformation toward standardisation and harmonisation of the brewer’s digital landscape. T

Euronext Hackathon. Get set to hack, learn & innovate!

This week, Euronext employees from all over the world are coming together for the Euronext Hackathon. The event to brainstorm together on innovative ideas for products and services. This year, the focus is on using advanced tools such as AI.

Week of Economics Education 2024

Next week, Economic Education Week takes place again, the national week for future-proof economic education in the Netherlands for vo, mbo, hbo and wo. 

One of Euronext's core values is to provide financial literacy to the next generation, and so of course the Week of Economic Education will be celebrated.

Investor Week has started again! 

During this week, from 8 to 15 November, nationwide attention is drawn to the importance of investing. This national week will conclude during the BeleggersFair, the largest investor event in the Netherlands, at the Beurs van Berlage.

Kick-off Morningstar Sustainable Investing Summit

This week, the Morningstar Sustainable Investing Summit kicks off at the Beurs van Berlage. 

Morningstar, the US financial services company, is organising this ESG-related conference to raise awareness for the importance of responsible investing.

Royal Vopak celebrates 25 years on Euronext Amsterdam

Today, Royal Vopak was welcomed to Beursplein 5 for a traditional Gong ceremony. 

The global tank terminal operator itself has a history dating back to the year 1616 and is also celebrating 25 years of listing on Euronext Amsterdam this week. 

To celebrate this 25th anniversary, the gong was sounded this morning by Dick Richelle, CEO at Vopak. The company was welcomed by René van Vlerken, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam.

B&R Beurs launches investment competition

This morning, the gong was sounded by B&R Beurs, the investment association for Erasmus University Rotterdam students. 

The gong blast signalled the start of the annual investment competition for students. 

Yme Bartels, chairman of B&R Beurs, rang the gong this morning. The group was welcomed by Paul Noordam, Senior Manager Sales and Product Management Cash Equities & Derivatives at Euronext Amsterdam.

Johannesburg Stock Exchange x Euronext

A special Gong ceremony was held this morning at Beursplein 5. This time, the opening of the new trading day was not primarily dedicated to Euronext Amsterdam, but to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). The South African exchange operator visited the Amsterdam Stock Exchange today as part of their European roadshow. 

The Gong ceremony celebrated Euronext's accreditation on the JSE. This accreditation allows companies listed on Euronext easier access to the South African capital markets, promoting cross-border investment opportunities. 

The gong was sounded by Patrycja Kula-Verster, Equity Origination Manager, and Maurice Madiba, Head of Primary Markets of Johannesburg Stock Exchange. The group was warmly welcomed by René van Vlerken, CEO at Euronext Amsterdam, and representatives of Euronext Amsterdam's Primary and Secondary Markets team.

BUX partners with PrimaryBid

BUX, owned by ABN AMRO Bank N.V., has partnered with capital markets technology firm PrimaryBid to extend the investment opportunities available to its retail customers. The partnership will provide new opportunities for retail investors in Belgium and the Netherlands to participate in IPOs and follow-ons including deals previously reserved only for institutional investors. 

As PrimaryBid and Euronext have been in partnership for several years, this extension of the partnership represents a significant step forward in the joint ambition to promote a broader retail inclusion in the primary markets. 

To celebrate the partnership, representatives of all three organisations were welcomed this morning for a traditional Gong ceremony. The group was welcomed by René van Vlerken, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam and Dirk Donker, Head of Secondary Markets Benelux & Germany.
