Winner best investment expert 2024

For the 32nd year in a row, asset manager Cardano asked over 100 stock market experts about their expectations for the AEX and what they think the best and worst stocks will be in the coming year. The best expert wins the prize for best stock market expert of the year. 

The 2024 winner is once again Nico Inberg of Deaandeelhouder.nl. It hasnever happened before that someone won twice. To celebrate, Nico opened a new trading day on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange today with a strike on the gong. The group was welcomed by Tjerk de Jong, Team Lead Member Compliance at Euronext Amsterdam.

Arcadis 30-year Listing Anniversary on the Amsterdam Exchange

Arcadis, a global leader in design, engineering and consulting services, celebrates its 30th anniversary on Euronext Amsterdam today. Arcadis commitment to innovative and sustainable solutions for the built and natural environment continues unabated.

To mark this milestone, the traditional gong ceremony was performed this morning by Virginie Duperat-Vergne, Chief Financial Officer of Arcadis. The ceremony was attended by René van Vlerken, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam, who warmly welcomed the Arcadis team.

First publication AEX Futureproof Index

Today the gong was sounded to mark the launch of the results of the first-ever AEX Futureproof Index. 

ftrprf, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and Nyenrode Business University worked together to provide a new perspective on value creation in business. The Index looks beyond just financial value and is committed to creating long-term value for all stakeholders.  The ringing of the gong brought extra attention to the need for future-proof companies and economies.

Gong ceremony dedicated to Klokhuis recordings

The trading day on Euronext Amsterdam started this morning with a special strike on the gong! This time the ceremony was dedicated to the filming of a new episode of... Het Klokhuis. 
Several years ago, the popular children's program already paid attention to the stock market and its role in society. Now they return to give an up-to-date look at the world of finance and trading.

Pascal Tan, presenter at Het Klokhuis, sounded the gong this morning to start the day of filming. This initiative fits perfectly with Euronext's commitment to financial literacy among children and young people. 

Introducing them to the stock market in an accessible way helps a new generation become more aware of money and the importance of investing at a young age.

Mint Tower launches Defined Returns Funds

Mint Tower Capital Management opened a new trading day on the trading floor of Exchange Square 5 today in celebration of the launch of Defined Returns Funds. A different strategy, but with the investment boutique's knowledge and decades of experience. 

The Defined Returns Fund focuses on delivering stable, predictable returns similar to equities but with a lower risk profile. 

The gong was sounded by Maarten Tonino, Portfolio Manager at Mint Tower. The group was welcomed by Leen van der Schoor, Global Head of Facilities at Euronext.

2025 Kick-Off IPOready in the Netherlands 

This year marks the 10th edition of IPOready, Euronext's educational programme for high-growth and ambitious European companies considering listing on the stock market. 

In total, more than 160 companies from 11 European countries are participating this year, including 24 companies in The Netherlands.

Today at Beursplein 5 the programme kicked off with all of the Dutch participants in attendance, as well as of course, the local partners. The IPOready cohort of 2025 rang the Gong to open a new trading day, in the presence of René van Vlerken, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam.

Welcoming Maven as market maker across all CAC 40 Options maturities

On 28 January 2025, the Euronext Financial Derivatives team welcomed Maven Securities to Euronext Paris to close the trading day.

This moment marks Maven’s role as a market maker across all CAC 40 Index Options maturities, including daily and weekly options - an important step forward for Euronext's derivatives market.

Maven Securities will bring enhanced liquidity and tighter spreads for the benefit of investors trading CAC 40 Options. With rising volumes (+20% in 2024), this development will further strengthen growth and appeal of these contracts.

De Aandeelhouder – Winner of National Investor Test 2024

In November 2024, De Aandeelhouder organized the first-ever National Investor Test, providing investors in the Netherlands and Belgium the opportunity to test their knowledge of the stock market and investing. 

The winner of this competition was Mart Revenberg from The Hague. To mark this occasion, Mart officially opened the trading day today at Euronext Amsterdam. Paul Noordman, Senior Manager Sales and Product Management Cash Equities & Derivatives at Euronext Amsterdam, welcomed the group.

Celebrating the launch of the options course ‘De Aandeelhouder Academy’

This past November marked the start of the first edition of the options course, ‘De Aandeelhouder Academy.’ This online programme, led by former options trader Vincent Vis, teaches participants everything about the options market over the course of three months, while also integrating options into their own investment strategies.

Euronext Amsterdam, the birthplace of Europe’s first options exchange, and broker Lynx proudly support this educational initiative.
