Sounding of the gong kicks off Beach Volleyball World Championschips

Transavia visits Beursplein 5 and sounds the gong for the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships The Netherlands 2015. Transavia, subsidiary of Euronext-listed company Air France – KLM (ticker symbol: AF) has been a partner in beach volleyball since the European Beach Volleyball Championships in 2012.

The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships The Netherlands 2015 is the 10^th World Championship in beach volleyball and is held in The Netherlands for the first time. It will be held from the 26^th of June till the 5^th of July in Amsterdam, Apeldoorn, Rotterdam and The Hague. The Finals will be in The Hague, where a floating stadium with 5000 seats is built on the Hofvijver pound, next to the Dutch parliament. In Amsterdam the stadium will be the eyecatcher on Dam Square.

96 teams ( 48 men and 48 women) from 40 countries will compete at the World Championships. In total 208 matches will be played.

Nyenrode Business University

Master students Nyenrode visit Beursplein 5

Fourteen of Nyenrode Business University’s students sound the gong to celebrate the fact that Nyenrode’s Master programs were voted Best Master of the Netherlands and Nyenrode Business University was voted the best Dutch university in the National Student Survey. The students were accompanied by Willem van Donge, Head of Career & Personal Development of the university.

Among the students were members of the Nyenrodian Investment Association ‘De Zilveren Rijder’. This association operates one of the largest portfolios among student associations.

Aegon Royal Holland Cup

Sounding of the gong announces Aegon Royal Holland Cup

Roel Braas, rower of the Aegon National rowing team and winner of the last two editions of the Aegon Royal Holland Cup, sounds the gong in the company of the organization and sponsor Aegon (ticker symbol: AGN).

The 122nd edition of Aegon Royal Holland Cup takes place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June in Rotterdam. The top Dutch rowers will attend as well as several international rowing teams. Besides a large Dutch delegation, rowers from Canada, Denmark, Japan, Indonesia, Ireland, Australia, America, Germany and England will participate.

The Holland Cup is one of the oldest rowing races in the world. The first edition was rowed in 1886.

This standard program for the issuance of bonds is designed in recent months along with eight HMOs. The care sector in the coming years require funding since the number of over-80s will double, while the budget does not grow.

The HMOs hope to collect approximately € 150 million with the bonds for necessary funding for investments, particularly in real estate and new developments in that context. Members will be intensively supported by the knowledge partners in the development of the bond.

15 years of ETFs in Europe

iShares sounds the gong in celebration of 15 years of ETFs in Europe

Kirst Kuipers, head of iShares Benelux at BlackRock, opens trading by sounding the gong to celebrate 15 years of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in Europe. iShares was the first provider to introduce ETFs in Europe.

The sounding of the gong coincides with Europe’s biggest ETF Event, 'Inside ETFs Europe' in

Amsterdam, where iShares will be one of the speakers. Kirst Kuipers, head of iShares Benelux at BlackRock: “The ETF market in Europe is still relatively young but incredibly dynamic. We expect assets in Europe to continue to increase strongly this year. Since the start of the year, some $38.4 billion have flown into ETFs in Europe. By 2019, we expect the European ETP market to have grown to USD 1,000 billion of assets under management. ETFs owe their huge popularity to their liquidity and the low costs.” ETFs are investment funds that follow an index and are traded on the stock exchange. iShares is the largest ETF provider in the world.

FSUG meeting

VEB opens trading in honour of FSUG meeting

Erik Nooteboom (European Commission) and chairman FSUG Mick McAteer open trading at the Amsterdam exchange. The sounding of the gong is done in honor of the meeting of the Financial Services User Group (FSUG), an advisory body set up by the European Commission, composed of associations representing consumers and retail investors in the European Union. This advisory body meets monthly in Brussels for talks with European policymakers. The twenty members of FSUG, of sixteen EU countries, advise the Commission on the creation and implementation of European directives into law. Once a year, the FSUG meets in one of the EU countries.

Today, shareholders association VEB hosts and warmly welcomes the members of FSUG and the European Commission in Amsterdam. IUCN NL sounds gong on World Environment Day

Nature organization IUCN NL sounds the gong on World Environment Day, together with partner organizations MVO Nederland, True Price, Interface, ABN Amro and Euronext-listed companies AkzoNobel, BAM, DSM, ING and Heijmans.

The VBDO, the association of investors for sustainable development, is also present. The organizations work together in the Green Deal ‘Transparency Natural and Social Capital’, together with the Ministries of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure and Environment. They highlight the importance of investing in ecosystems and biodiversity, our natural capital, as the foundation for the economy. They call all listed companies to disclose their impact on natural and social capital and to focus on sustainability.
