Are you ready to shape the future of capital markets? We are looking for a Legal Intern to join the Legal Italy team. The position will be based in Milan, Piazza degli Affari 6 and November.

You will primarily be responsible for:

• Supporting the team in legal advice on review and negotiation of contracts with customers and suppliers, in particular ICT related.
• Keeping regular updates on legal framework evolution, particularly on information technology and data
• Conducting legal research and drafting legal opinions, with a focus on Information Technology Law
• Assisting with general legal advice across all business areas and institutional functions

Your profile:

• Degree in Law
• Fluency in both spoken and written English
• Strong knowledge of Civil Law, with a focus on ICT Law, Commercial Law and digital/technology-related legal frameworks
• Solid understanding of legal issues related to new technologies (including artificial intelligence, data protection and digital regulation)
• Previous experience, even short, in contract drafting, review and negotiation (e.g. within law firms, in-house legal teams or legal clinics)
• Basic knowledge of financial markets is a plus
• Strong team working attitude
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact with non-legal stakeholders
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

The Legal Italy team provides legal support to all Italian legal entities. This includes drafting and negotiation of contracts with clients and providers, particularly to support the information technology area, the market data area and corporate functions. The team also provides general legal advice across all business areas and institutional functions of the Borsa Italiana group.
