Philippe Germond, Chairman of the Management Board of Europcar, sounds the bell to open the European markets at Euronext in Paris on the occasion of the initial public offering of Europcar.
Europcar Groupe is the European leader in car rental. The Group offers, for short and medium durations, passenger and commercial vehicles under the brands Europcar and InterRent (low cost services) to individuals and companies. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
car rental (92.1%): operated through rental agencies run solely or by agents;
services (5.2%).
The remaining sales (2.7%) are the collected royalties from franchisees.At the end of 2014, Europcar Groupe has a fleet of 189,269 vehicles and a network of 3,653 branches spread between agencies operated solely (1,007), agencies operated by agents (612) and franchisees (2,034).Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: France (16.4%), Germany (26.1%), the United Kingdom (20.7%), Europe (29.3%) and other (7.5%).
