Philippe Germond, Président du Directoire d’Europcar, sonne la cloche pour ouvrir les marchés européens chez Euronext à Paris à l'occasion de l'introduction en bourse d'Europcar.
Europcar Groupe est le leader européen de la location de véhicules. Le groupe propose aux particuliers et aux entreprises, pour des courtes et des moyennes durées, des véhicules de tourisme et utilitaires sous les marques Europcar et InterRent (prestations à moindre coût). Le CA par activité se répartit comme suit : location de véhicules (92,1%) : activité assurée à travers des agences de location exploitées directement ou par des agents ; prestations de services (5,2%). Le solde du CA (2,7%) concerne les redevances perçues des franchisés.A fin 2014, Europcar Groupe dispose d'une flotte de 189 269 véhicules et d'un réseau de 3 653 agences réparties entre agences exploitées en propre (1 007), agences exploitées par des agents (612) et franchises (2 034).La répartition géographique du CA est la suivante : France (16,4%), Allemagne (26,1%), Royaume Uni (20,7%), Europe (29,3%) et autres (7,5%).
