Enexis issues €1 billion in green bonds

For the first time, Enexis Holding has issued a dual tranche of green bonds with a total value of €1 billion. This amount is divided into two bonds of €500 million each, with maturities of 8 and 12 years respectively. The green bonds, like the previously issued green bonds, will be used to invest in projects that contribute to increasing the share of renewable energy within Enexis' electricity networks. 

To mark this milestone, Mariëlle Vogt, CFO of Enexis, opened a new trading day at Euronext Amsterdam this morning. The group was welcomed by Christine van den Bos, Listing Director of Euronext Amsterdam.

Varrlyn celebrates 15th anniversary

Varrlyn, an IT consultancy company founded in 2010, advises financial  institutions on system implementations and applications for dealing rooms and other related technology. 

To mark the company's 15th anniversary, the gong was sounded this morning by Stephan van der Windt,  Director of Varrlyn. 

Marianne Aalders, Communications Manager at Euronext Amsterdam and Ewelina van der Lans, Listing Execution Manager at Euronext Amsterdam welcomed the Varrlyn team to the ceremony.

Lucas Bols celebrates 450th anniversary

The 450th anniversary of The Lucas Bols Company, which is celebrated this year, is a milestone that only a few companies achieve. Over the past 450 years, they have experienced significant growth, both during their time on the Amsterdam stock exchange and in creating great cocktail experiences around the world. 

Huub van Doorne, CEO and Frank Cocx, CFO together hit the gong this morning to celebrate this achievement.

Euronext welcomes The Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy

Founded in 1924 as the US Army Industrial College and now part of the National Defense University, the Eisenhower School has a long history as a military training institution. The students of this prestigious course are drawn from various US army units and the private and public sectors. An important part of the Finance Study is an introduction to key players in the European capital market, including a visit to Euronext Amsterdam.

ING Investor platform expands service with real-time news provided by ABM Financial News

ING's Investor platform "ING Zelf op de Beurs” expands its service with real-time stock market news provided by financial newswire ABM Financial News.

ABM Financial News stock market videos, which feature Bob Homan and Simon Wiersma of the ING Investment Office, will become available on the ING investor platform. ABM Financial News will also provide a selection of daily stock market news.

NVA Autism Week – Space for autism

The Dutch Association for Autism (NVA) will open the stock exchange together with Brunel on Tuesday 2 April, World Autism Day. With the gong, the NVA asks for space for autism. By building an autism-friendly society together, we create space for everyone to thrive – in their own unique way.

Snowflake and Euronext expand collaboration

Snowflake Computing Netherlands B.V. rang the bell this morning to open a new day of trading at Euronext Amsterdam, marking a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two companies.

Euronext recently became a client of Snowflake in order to build its data products on Snowflake's AI Data Cloud. This ceremony coincides with Euronext making its comprehensive market data available via Snowflake Marketplace, enabling customers to directly and securely access and integrate its data through the easy, connected and trusted platform. 

Mathijs Verdam, Account Executive at Snowflake sounded the gong this morning in the presence of Daniela Melato, Head of Group Data Services at Euronext.

BlackRock launches iShares Bitcoin ETP

A new trading day was opened today by BlackRock in honour of the iShares Bitcoin ETP launch. This will allow investors in Europe to gain access to bitcoin without the complexity of directly trading and holding the cryptocurrency. 

A recent survey of asset professionals conducted by BlackRock and Focal Data showed that bitcoin ETPs attract a high level of interest among professional investors, with 75% indicating interest in investing in a bitcoin ETP within the next two years.

ABN AMRO first financial institution to issue EU Green Bond

ABN AMRO is the first financial institution in Europe and the first issuer in the Benelux to successfully issue an EU Green Bond (EuGB). 

The bond has a value of €750 million, an interest rate of 3% and a maturity of six years. The proceeds will be allocated to green buildings and renewable energy projects.

Dutch Association of Asset Managers & Advisers VV&A celebrates 80th anniversary

The Association of Asset Managers & Advisers is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. A milestone for the Dutch industry association that represents the interests of investment firms registered with the Financial Markets Authority. 

To celebrate this anniversary, Rob Morrenhof, Secretary of the VV&A, rang the Gong in a traditional ceremony this morning.

Dutch Chamber of commerce names Concord Neonatal most innovative SME company in the Netherlands

A new trading day was heralded today with a gong strike by Rianne Rotink, CEO of Concord Neonatal. 

 During the 19th edition of the KVK Innovation Top 100, a total of five Dutch SMEs received gold awards. Concord Neonatal was named the Netherlands' most innovative SME company thanks to their technology that helps stabilise newborn babies.

50 years ago, The Telegraph gave impetus for establishment of Options Exchange

‘Stock exchange board thinks of creating own options market’ headlined the Dutch Telegraph on 18 March 1975. In retrospect, the article turned out to be an impetus for the establishment of the European Options Exchange (EOE), the Amsterdam options market and Europe's first options exchange. 

In the article, commission agent Frederick Bangert praised the success of options trading in the United States. Thanks to the publication, the creation of an options market made it onto the agenda of the Amsterdam Stock Exchange Board. this  ultimately lead to the official launch of the EOE 1978.

Kamran Ullah, editor-in-chief of the Telegraph, marked this special occasion of 50 years ago with opening today's markets  in the presence of the Financial Telegraph's editors. Titus Brandsmalyceum wins fall edition of the Scholenstrijd

Students of Titus Brandsmalyceum in Oss festively opened a new trading day today. They took part in a national investment competition in which thousands of secondary school students participated. The students from 3 havo & 3 vwo put their knowledge gained about investing during the Masterclass Business directly into practice through the Scholenstrijd. They came in first on their returns as well as risk-return. 

The Scholenstrijd is organised by the BeleggerUitlegger, a non-profit organisation that prepares young people and beginners for possible investing.

International Women’s Day | Closing the gap: Accelerate action

For the 11th time in a row, Euronext Amsterdam is giving extensive consideration to the celebration of International Women's Day. 

By organizing a series of events in all European locations, Euronext aims to stimulate the necessary discussion on promoting gender equality in the financial sector. 

The celebration of International Women's Day is a collaboration with UN Women Netherlands, UN Global Compact Netherlands and Women in ETFs. The day was festively kicked off with a traditional Gong ceremony, followed by an extensive morning program with numerous inspiring speakers and representatives of the Dutch capital market and AEX companies.

Merger between Vastned Retail (NL) and Vastned Belgium

Real estate company Vastned (Vastned NV, Euronext Brussels and Euronext Amsterdam: VASTB) completed its reverse cross-border legal merger on 1 January 2025 which saw VastnedRetail N.V. merge with and into Vastned. The company continues as one combined entity whose shares have been listed on Euronext Brussels and Euronext Amsterdam as of 2 January 2025. 

Vastned celebrated the introduction of its shares on Euronext Amsterdam today with a traditional Gong ceremony at the Amsterdam exchange. Sven Bosman, CEO of Vastned, struck the gong and the group was welcomed by René van Vlerken, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam

Initial Public Offering and first day of trading Ferrari Group Plc

Marco Deiana, CEO of Ferrari Group and member of the founding family, sounded the Gong this morning, to celebrate the Initial Public Offering and first day of trading of the company. 

Ferrari Group is one of the global leaders in the worldwide shipment of luxury goods, providing integrated services with a focus on handling high-end watches, jewellery and diamonds, among others.
