Euronext welcomes LafargeHolcim on Euronext in Paris
Eric Olsen, CEO LafargeHolcim, rings the opening bell.
Holcim specializes in producing and marketing construction materials. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- cement and bricks (60.6%): 140.3 million tons sold in 2014. At the end of 2014, the group had 144 production sites located in Europe (34), Asia/Pacific (54), Latin America (27), North America (17), Africa and the Middle East (12);
- aggregates (8%): 153.1 million tons of sand, gravel, and chalk sold, etc. At the end of 2014, Holcim had 363 production sites worldwide;
- other (31.4%): primarily ready-to-use concrete (37 million m3 sold; owns 935 sites) and asphalts (10 million tons; 84 sites).
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Europe (27.2%), Asia/Pacific (36.2%), North America (17.5%), Latin America (15.1%), Africa and Middle East (4%).
