Chocoa Festival
7de editie Chocoa
Chocoa, het chocoladefestival, wordt dit jaar voor de zevende keer gehouden met als doel een bijdrage te geven aan de groei van de markt voor duurzame en kwalitatief goede chocolade. De gong wordt geluid door Caroline Lubbers, medeoprichter van Equipoise en van Chocoa.
Chocoa
Chocoa is een voorbeeld van hoe de marktwerking wordt verbeterd door cacaoboeren rechtstreeks met cacaokopers in contact te brengen.
De beurs, waar dit jaar meer dan 80 stands zijn, vooral van cacaoproducenten uit Azië, Afrika en Latijns Amerika.
De producenten zijn hier om hun cacao rechtstreeks aan chocolademakers te verkopen. Er zijn chocolademakers uit de hele wereld
Gelijktijdig vindt een congres plaats over de voortgang van de verduurzaming van de cacaoketen, met o.a. Cargill en Haven Amsterdam.
Equipoise
Equipoise werd in 2014 opgericht en adviseert over verduurzaming van de cacaoketen, vanuit de overtuiging dat deze verduurzaming marktgericht moet zijn.
