Gongslag voor 40ste editie North Sea Jazz Festival
BNP Paribas Nederland opent als sponsor van North Sea Jazz de beurshandel ter gelegenheid van de 40ste editie van het festival. CEO BNP Paribas Nederland, Anne Marie Verstraeten, luidt de gong.
North Sea Jazz, dit jaar voor de tiende keer gehouden in Rotterdam, is het grootste indoor muziekspektakel ter wereld en staat bekend als het evenement waar in drie dagen het verleden, heden en de toekomst van jazz langskomen. Naast de stevige basis van jazz komen veel genres voorbij, zoals blues, soul, funk, hiphop, world, pop en meer. Om een beeld te geven van veertig jaar North Sea Jazz geschiedenis presenteert het festival dit jaar enkele iconische musici uit elk decennium vanaf 1976, zoals Stanley Clarke, Roy Hargrove, Bill Frisell, bassist Avishai Cohen en José James.
