Walter Van Glabbeek en Jean-François Anspach, Ere-ondervoorzitters van de voormalige “Beurscommissie-Commission de la Bourse” van 1989 luidden de Openingsbel op 24 januari 2014 op Euronext Brussel om de 25ste verjaardag te vieren van de introductie van het eerste electronische handelssysteem op de Brusselse Beurs. De 3 eerste aandelen die electronisch werden verhandeld op 24 januari 1989 waren Solvay, GB-Inno-BM en Tractebel. Deze bedrijven zijn vertegenwoordigd door Diego du Monceau, voormalig CEO van GIB en Alcon Hidalgo Maria, Executive VP Investor Relations van Solvay.
