We are looking for a Product Owner to join Euronext Securities in Porto and play a key role in the convergence programme, which consists of rolling out a common service supported by a unified IT system across our Central Securities Depositories (CSDs).

The objective of this programme is to provide financial institutions with a single client experience, reducing the cost, risk, and complexity of post-trade fragmentation in Europe.

In this role, you are responsible for translating approved product designs into actionable backlogs and ensuring successful delivery through Scrum teams. The product owner acts as the main interface between delivery teams and business stakeholders, ensuring high-quality, predictable delivery aligned with the harmonised product design.

Why this role is exciting:

  • Contribute to a strategic convergence programme impacting multiple European CSDs
  • Drive the rollout of a unified post-trade service across markets
  • Work at the intersection of business, regulation, and technology
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and international stakeholders
  • Shape the client experience in a highly regulated financial environment

Key Responsibilities:

Backlog & Delivery Execution

  • Maintain and prioritise the product backlog.
  • Translate High Level Business Requirements into implementable EPICs.
  • Ensure consistency to target design by review and validation.
  • Ensure backlog prioritisation aligns with business value and strategic objectives.
  • Support Scrum teams in understanding product requirements.

Agile Delivery Management

  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement and sprint reviews.
  • Accept completed features and ensure they meet acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure Definition of Done includes operational and regulatory requirements.

Project Execution

  • Deliver product initiatives through planning and execution.
  • Work closely with project managers and programme teams to coordinate delivery.
  • Monitor EPIC progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Delivery Risk & Dependency Management

  • Identify delivery risks, blockers and dependencies.
  • Maintain risk tracking and escalate issues where needed.
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies and ensure delivery sequencing.

UAT & Release Readiness

  • Support Operations UAT and Customer UAT activities.
  • Validate acceptance criteria and testing coverage to ensure they are aligned with business requirements.
  • Support release readiness and product launch from a delivery perspective.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as the key liaison between delivery teams and business stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Business Operations, Functional Analysts, QA and Development Engineers to refine the product implementation.

Customer & Go-to-Market Readiness

  • Prepare customer-facing product documentation.
  • Prepare customer deep-dive sessions explaining future-state capabilities.

Profile & Qualifications:

Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Functional Analyst, ideally within banking, financial market infrastructure, or IT delivery environments.
  • Experience contributing to system implementation or product delivery projects, from requirements definition through testing and go-live.
  • Strong familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery methodologies, including backlog management and user story definition.
  • Experience working closely with technology teams, functional analysts, QA teams, and project managers.
  • Experience supporting testing phases, user documentation, and production readiness is considered an asset.

Skills & Mindset

  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset, capable of translating functional scope into precise requirements.
  • Ability to structure EPICs, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support efficient delivery.
  • Strong coordination and follow-up skills, ensuring progress across delivery activities.
  • Ability to clarify detailed functional behaviour and answer implementation questions from delivery teams.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced delivery environments with evolving priorities.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, enabling clear interaction with both business and IT stakeholders.
