EnterNext organise à Toulouse sa 5ème conférence Tech Régionale

Back

Paris and Toulouse – 9 September 2015 – EnterNext, the Euronext subsidiary dedicated to promoting and growing the market for small and medium-sized companies (SMEs), today announced that it would hold its next Tech Conference in Toulouse on 15 September. This will be EnterNext’s fifth Tech Conference, coming after events in Bordeaux, Nantes, Lille and Lyon. Hosted by the city’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the conference will give participants an opportunity to learn more about the tools and initiatives available to the Toulouse region’s tech companies—from start-ups to mid-size companies.

Growing innovative companies in southwestern France

Organised with the support of the Toulouse Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Toulouse Place Financière, this Tech Conference will bring together entrepreneurs, investors and other experts to examine financing options available to innovative companies. The variety of attendee profiles will highlight the region’s efforts to create an eco-system for these fast-growing businesses, while local tech company founders and leaders will be on hand to contribute their experiences and insights into the special features and needs of the tech sector.

Toulouse—innovation and entrepreneurship

Greater Toulouse is home to a well-developed eco-system of innovative businesses, particularly in its traditional fields of excellence: aerospace, healthcare, agriculture and food. Since EnterNext’s local team began operating in 2013, there have been seven listings by innovative SMEs from the region—Safti Groupe, I.CERAM, Figeac Aéro, Implanet, Fermentalg, Genticel and Cerenis Therapeutics, together raising over €170 million.

The region has three Toulouse-based clusters: Aérospace Valley, Cancer-Bio-Santé and Agrimip Innovation.         But digitalclusters and hubs are also well-represented with Digital Place, IOT Valley and La Mêlée, as is healthcare, with Bio Medical Alliance.

Eric Forest, CEO of EnterNext, said: “As we continue to bring our Tech Conferences to venues across France, this month will see us in Toulouse—a hotbed of innovative companies—for the first time. At EnterNext we want to bring members of the tech community together at a special event to remind everyone of the key role played by capital markets in financing business expansion. And we would like to thank our outstanding partners for joining us to make this conference a success.”

Nicolas-Gaston Ellie, EnterNext’s representative for southwestern France, added: “We are delighted to bring together a slate of prominent regional players for our conference. This event illustrates the energy and drive of a region with a very large pool of tech companies in search of financing. Through local events like this, our aim is to bring companies the information and assistance they need to use capital markets to best effect, on their home turf.”
