Viering International Women’s Day bij Euronext Amsterdam
Vandaag deed Euronext Amsterdam voor de twaalfde keer op rij mee met het wereldwijde initiatief ‘Ring the Bell for Gender Equality’, een initiatief dat georganiseerd wordt door de Sustainable Stock Exchanges en de United Nations. In Amsterdam luidde Linda Senden, professor Europees recht aan de Universiteit Utrecht en vertegenwoordiger van UN Women Nederland 2026, de Gong ter ere van deze bijzondere gelegenheid.
Net als voorgaande edities werd de dag opgeluisterd met een uitgebreid inhoudelijk programma met inspirerende sprekers en vertegenwoordigers uit de Nederlandse kapitaalmarkt, AEX-bedrijven en dit jaar de Verenigde Naties. Met dit jaar’s thema ‘Balance the scales’ benadrukt Euronext het belang van participatie van zowel vrouwen als mannen rondom het onderwerp van gendergelijkheid. De viering van Internationale Vrouwendag op Beursplein 5 kwam tot stand in samenwerking met UN Women Nederland, UN Global Compact Nederland en Women in ETFs Nederland.
