Renteuitkering op eeuwigdurende obligaties

Vandaag betaalde Hoogheemraadschap De Stichtse Rijnlanden rente uit op twee nog altijd rentegevende rentebrieven, uit respectievelijk 1638 en 1765.
De eeuwenoude obligaties zijn destijds uitgegeven door het Utrechtse hoogheemraadschap Lekdijk Bovendams, rechtsvoorganger van De Stichtse Rijnlanden.
De rentebrieven zijn sinds jaar en dag onderdeel van het historisch archief van de Amsterdamse beurs, dankzij Stichting Capital Amsterdam, en behoren tot de oudst bekende nog steeds rentegevende obligaties ter wereld.
De handelsdag werd geopend door Jeroen Haan, Dijkgraaf van Hoogheemraadschap De Stichtse Rijnlanden in het bijzijn van René van Vlerken, CEO bij Euronext Amsterdam.
