Lancering van Mini Single Stock Options in Amsterdam
23/05/2025
Committed to driving innovation and expanding retail participation in derivatives markets, Euronext introduces the first Mini Single Stock Options on Dutch and French underlyings, building on its strong existing offering.
Mini options are single stock options with a smaller contract size, specifically designed for retail investors looking to gain greater exposure to higher-priced stocks on Euronext or hedge their existing positions.
The contract size of mini options is equal to 10 shares of a company, while standard options have a contract size of 100 shares. At one-tenth the size of a standard options contract, mini options provide greater flexibility for investors with a limited risk appetite featuring lower capital requirements and reduced exposure to risk.
To mark the launch, Matthijs Pars, Director at APT, and guests from flatexDEGIRO, Saxo Bank, Optiver and All Options opened a new trading day at Euronext Amsterdam on 23 May 2025.
