Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt viert 450-jarig bestaan
In 2017 bestaat de Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt 450 jaar; al sinds 1567 worden in Utrecht munten geslagen. Om dit te vieren luidt muntmeester Stephan Satijn de gong.
De Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt is de enige producent van de Nederlandse euromunten. Het is een innovatief, internationaal bedrijf in waarde producten, geworteld in vierhonderdvijftig jaar traditie. Tot de innovatieve ontwikkelingen van de afgelopen jaren behoren de laser- en 3D-technieken op munten, waarmee het mogelijk is om o.a. een QR-code of microtekst aan te brengen.
De Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt behoort wereldwijd tot de top 5-producenten van circulatiemunten, herdenkingsmunten, (custom-made) penningen en verzamelaarsproducten. Ook de Koninklijke Onderscheidingen worden vervaardigd bij de Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt.
