Gongslag in teken lancering ‘Follow the money’ app
Directeur van het Amsterdam Museum, Paul Spies, lanceert met een slag op de gong de nieuwe app ‘Follow the money’. De gratis app is een audiotour en wandelroute ineen. De wandeling leidt de gebruiker in 45 minuten langs de rijke, financiële geschiedenis van Amsterdam en overbrugt een periode van 400 jaar: van de Gouden Eeuw tot nu.
Het Amsterdam Museum wil met de app een breed publiek kennis laten maken met de handelsgeschiedenis in het centrum van de stad. Op een laagdrempelige manier maken gebruikers kennis met de zichtbare financiële geschiedenis in de stad. Uiteenlopende verhalen worden gekoppeld aan bestaande gebouwen, historische personen en kunstvoorwerpen. Op deze manier openbaart de handelsgeschiedenis zich voor de gebruiker tijdens een ontspannen wandeling door de stad.Initiatiefnemer van de app is het Amsterdam Museum. De app is mede tot stand gekomen door hulp van Platform Capital Amsterdam, Stichting Capital Amsterdam, Nachenius Tjeenk Stichting, De Nederlandsche Bank en M2Mobi. De app is gratis verkrijgbaar in het Nederlands en Engels in de google store of te downloaden via Itunes, zoekterm: ‘money tour’.
