Ter gelegenheid van de start van de 98ste Vierdaagse Nijmegen luidt Jan Los, bestuurslid KNBLO Wandelsportorganisatie Nederland, de beursgong.
KNBLO Wandelsportorganisatie Nederland (KNBLO-NL) is de moederorganisatie van de Stichting DE 4DAAGSE. De eerste Vierdaagse werd in 1909 georganiseerd. Van 309 deelnemers in 1909 is het evenement uitgegroeid tot het grootste meerdaagse wandelevenement ter wereld met 46.000 wandelaars. In combinatie met de Vierdaagsefeesten vormt het wandelevenement al diverse jaren het grootste vrij toegankelijke evenement van Nederland. Naast de ‘grote’ Vierdaagse is KNBLO-NL onder andere ook bekend van de Avond4daagse. Jaarlijks worden hiermee ruim een half miljoen kinderen in beweging gebracht.
