Met een klap op de gong wenst Stichting DSI alle deelnemers en gecertificeerde een prachtig 2018. Per januari zijn de Europese ESMA-Richtsnoeren van kracht voor financiële professionals, als onderdeel van MiFID II. DSI borgt in samenspraak met de AFM dat professionals die volledig DSI-gecertificeerd zijn voldoen aan de ESMA-criteria.
Stichting DSI geeft op verzoek van de sector uitvoering aan strikte zelfregulering. Hier geeft het uitvoering aan middels personeelsscreening, certificering, tuchtrecht en een openbaar register. De stichting screent (nieuwe) medewerkers in de sector en certificeert personeel. Ook toetst het certificaathouders regelmatig op integriteit, kennis en vakbekwaamheid.
