Cordaid Memisa vraagt met de traditionele gongslag aandacht voor babysterfte. Cordaid CFO Willem Jan van Wijk luidt de gong.
Elke dag sterven 6.000 baby’s tijdens hun geboorte of op de eerste dag van hun leven. Dat zijn 2,2 miljoen baby’s per jaar. Vaak onnodig; 80% van deze sterftegevallen kan worden voorkomen door betere medische zorg. Cordaid Memisa wil dat elke baby veilig en gezond geboren kan worden en voert actie tegen babysterfte. Door een sms te sturen met het woord ‘baby’ naar 4333 kan men éénmalig €2,50 doneren en daarmee helpen babysterfte te verlagen.
