BNP Paribas OBAM viert 60 jaar beursnotering en haar 75-jarige verjaardag te Beursplein 5 in Amsterdam.
OBAM N.V. werd in 1936 opgericht voor Franse nonnen die hun kapitaal uit handen van de overheid wilden houden en in Nederland bescherming zochten. In 1954 besloot men OBAM op de Amsterdamse beurs te introduceren. Na een aantal overnames en fusies is sinds 2009 de officiële naam van het fonds BNP Paribas OBAM. Fondsbeheerder Sander Zondag, sinds januari 2013 verantwoordelijk voor de strategie van het beleggingsfonds, luidt de gong. Hij wist het fonds dankzij een aantal strategische aanpassingen minder kwetsbaar te maken voor mogelijke toekomstige paniekgolven op de wereldwijde beurzen.
