Beursgong startschot Deloitte Ladies Open toernooi

Toernooidirecteur Liz Weima luidt de beursgong en opent daarmee het Deloitte Ladies Open golftoernooi.
Uit heel Europa zijn 162 golfsters naar Amsterdam gekomen om mee te spelen in het toernooi, dat dit gehele weekend plaatsvindt op de golfbaan The International in Amsterdam. Het toernooi beleeft zijn 20e editie en wordt nu voor het tweede jaar in Amsterdam gehouden. Deloitte is voor het vierde jaar op rij titelsponsor, KLM en ABN AMRO zijn toernooipartners. Het Deloitte Ladies Open is onderdeel van de Ladies European Tour, het hoogste professionele toernooiencircuit in Europa.
Aan het Deloitte Ladies Open is ook een goed doel gekoppeld: de strijd tegen diabetes. Via publieksacties op het toernooi wordt geld ingezameld voor stichting Diabetes Onderzoek Nederland (DON), die fundamenteel onderzoek naar genezing van diabetes financiert en wetenschappers bij hun onderzoek naar genezing van deze slopende ziekte ondersteunt.
