Amsterdams Kampioenschap Straatvoetbal
TMG luidt gong voor Amsterdams Kampioenschap Straatvoetbal
De gongslag op de Amsterdamse beurs staat in het teken van het Amsterdams Straatvoetbal Kampioenschap. Het initiatief is veertig jaar geleden genomen en vanaf het begin omarmd door De Telegraaf, onderdeel van het aan Euronext genoteerde TMG (ticker symbol: TMG). Bestuursvoorzitter van TMG, Geert-Jan van der Snoek, luidt de gong.
In de loop der jaren is het toernooi, dat Johan Cruijff als beschermheer heeft, uitgegroeid tot een jaarlijks evenement waar ruim 1400 Amsterdamse schoolkinderen aan deelnemen. Dagelijks wordt er op pleintjes gevoetbald in de maanden september en oktober, door 138 teams met jongens en meisjes uit groep 7 en 8.
Traditiegetrouw wordt de finale gevoetbald in een stadion op de Dam. Dit jaar zal deze op zaterdag 14 november plaatsvinden.
